This year 5777 has been the year of the sword, with much resistance. My sense is that 5778 continues in the same theme.

I have pondered the fact that #8 in Hebrew means wall, fence, protection, boundaries. The Hebraic year is changing to 5778 on the eve of Sept 20, 2017. This will be the year to rebuild our walls. Nehemiah’s story comes to mind, where in the building process they used one hand to build and the other hand to defend/ war. Their enemies did not want them to rebuild and did all they could to delay and hinder the process. The parable of the resistance toward the Trump administration shows this and that inspite of the obstacles, they rebuilt what was breached and fallen. The fact that Trump wants a literal wall is also an obvious sign of what the Lord is saying to us. These things are obvious and clear. We must not give up, we must lean heavily on the Lord to obtain our safe boundaries in mind, body, spirit and soul.

The Lord keeps telling us to get our houses in order. This means cleaning our lives up in alignment with scripture in body, mind, spirit, soul.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A STANDARD AGAINST THE ENEMY

There is something drawing me below the surface regarding the term “wall” that I was sensing and so I looked up all the scriptures that contained the word “wall.” There were 2 scriptures that leaped out at me. In this first scripture, the Hebrews had no place to go, they were being chased by Pharaoh’s army and coming upon the Red Sea, they were stuck with no place to go. God opened a path for them where the waters opened up and formed 2 great walls so the people walked through on dry ground!

Exodus 14:22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

During Hurricane Irma, I was amazed that it suddenly shifted west and went up the middle of the state which mercifully missed major populations. Right before the hurricane hit, the winds also blew the waters away from the beaches, just like tsunamis. I immediately thought of how the Lord brought a wind and made a wall of water in order for the Israelites to cross the Red Sea on dry ground. 

In May my 87 year old Mom fell and broke her hip. It was a very difficult few months, but she survived and learned to walk again. During the process I had a vision:

6/18/17 THE GIANT SEA WALL

I was driving along a giant sea wall. I was praying that it would hold and keep us safe from the floods. Then I saw my Mom walking along the wall and she appeared so tiny in comparison!! This was a massive wall.

Immediately I thought of the scripture that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord Himself raises a standard against him!

Isa 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

CONFIRMATION: I pondered all these things, then before I went to sleep for the night I listened Rick Joyner’s prophetic perspective. I was amazed. He shared a story where he had recently been flying when he came into 2 storms that were brewing. This was during the time when all the flooding was happening in Texas. Normally he would find a place to avert and land, but he distinctly heard the Lord say to keep going. So instead of stopping, he kept going and he flew through a patch of blue sky in between the 2 storms. AMAZING CONFIRMATION to the same thing happening when the Israelites walked through the Red Sea on dry land!

BOUNDARIES PROTECT

Why do sheep need a fence? Because without boundaries they will wander and get lost.

Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jer 50:6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away [on] the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.

Mt 18:11-13 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. 12 How think you? if a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and go into the mountains, and seek that which is gone astray? 13 And if so be that he finds it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more for that sheep, than for the ninety and nine which went not astray.

1Pe 2:25 For you were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Zec 2:4-5 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls because of the multitude of men and cattle in it: 5 For I, says the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

STAND IN THE BREACHES OF THE WALLS

1Sa 25:15-17 But the men were very good unto us, and we were not hurt, neither missed we anything, as long as we went with them, when we were in the fields: 16 They were a wall unto us both by night and day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep. 17 Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

Eze 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Have you suffered loss? Is there a place where you or your family has been plundered? What kind of walls do you want to build to keep your family safe? Boundaries in what they see, hear, experience? Be vigilant in prayer to keep you and your family’s safe in the new year 5778. Soon your lives will find the peace you have craved, which is a deep abiding place in the Lord being hedged in within His safe borders.

Philippians 4:6-8 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
