RHEMA 12/07/07 A BALANCE OF ADMONITION AND
AFFIRMATION
EXPERIENCE: Today I was reading an article by
someone and felt it needed more of a balance between
correction and encouragement.
ANOINTED HANDS: I opened to this scripture:
1 Cor 16:13-14 NLT
Be on guard. Stand true to what you believe. Be
courageous. Be strong. And everything you do must be
done with love.
CONFIRMATION INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES: Pastor
prayed in tongues over me tonight. I received two
sentences of interpretation. One sentence was, “No, no,
no, you should not do that!” And a while later the other
sentence I picked up was, “A double portion.” The
intercessor next to me picked up something about His
strength covered my weakness.
Last night before going to bed, I heard a conversation
where someone asked an angel, “Have you told her yet?”
I then heard that he had been sent to tell me. Then I
was visited by an angel after going to sleep and I knew
exactly who he was, I had seen him before, why he had
come and that I had better repent really fast. The
message was very patient, loving, but quite firm. So
tonight when I heard pastor’s tongue, he told me that he
had never spoken in that language before. Well since I
heard the rebuke in the interpretation, I felt strongly
that pastor was speaking in the tongue of that angel and
I heard the message loud and clear.
When placing the 3 sentences in context, I felt that the
Lord was lovingly, but firmly saying that if I wanted
the double portion then I needed to change and He
understood I could not do it in my weakness, so He would
give me His strength to change.
NOTE: People have asked me how I “receive” an
interpretation of tongues. I actually hear with my
literal ears the voice of the person speaking in
English. And at the same time I hear the Lord’s inner
voice superimposed over the same sentence at once.
I can almost always tell it is a interpretation because
what I hear from His voice starts and stops at the same
synch and timing as the sentence I am hearing the person
speak in another language. Often even the syllables
match in synch and that is amazing.
But what is most profound about this gift is that the
Lord’s voice is so strongly superimposed over the
person’s literal voice, that I actually hear more of His
voice than I do the tongues. It is like His voice is
louder, even though it is actually heard in my inner ear
and spirit. So I am hearing English but the person is
speaking something else.
Some of the tongues that men speak are men's languages
and some are the languages of angels. I have had a few
visions where I have seen and heard angels speak in
their tongue and I am hearing them through the gift of
Interpreting of Tongues, through the Lord's still small
voice. Those visions helped me understand that the
sentences I receive of interpretation when in the prayer
room are really this gift in operation, for it is the
exact same way.
I have recently been receiving some occasional phrases
of interpretations of my own tongues and they are very,
very clear to me. Those times have been a true comfort
and joy to hear what both my spirit and the Holy Spirit
are speaking into my life.
Acts 2:4 NKJV
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
1 Cor 12:7-11 NKJV
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one
for the profit of all: 8 for to one is given the word
of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of
knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by
the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the
same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to
another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to
another different kinds of tongues , to another the
interpretation of tongues . 11 But one and the same
Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one
individually as He wills.
1 Cor 13:1 NKJV
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a
clanging cymbal.
1 Cor 14:13-15 NKJV
Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he
may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit
prays , but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the
conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit , and I
will also pray with the understanding...
WORD TO PONDER: RAISE YOUR CHILDREN WITH A BALANCE OF
ADMONITION AND AFFIRMATION 12/08/07
Wisdom is justified by her children. Dear ones, the good
and bad seeds that you plant in others become your
children. They are your fruit. Take heed to plant good
seeds so that you reap a good harvest.
It is wise to plant seeds with a balance of affirmation
and admonition. A child raised with too much correction
will become a harvest of condemnation, shame and self
rejection. A child raised in only affirmation and praise
will become proud and independent. Choose to balance
correction with encouragement so that the seeds you
plant in your children will produce a good crop. In all
things, always plant with love.
2 Cor 9:6-11 NKJV
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap
sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap
bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his
heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a
cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound
toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in
all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given
to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." Now may
He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food,
supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase
the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched
in everything for all liberality, which causes
thanksgiving through us to God.
