POEM: ABASEMENT 2/01/07

We bow low, having known Your great grace.

Waiting for Your favor to touch our face.

You lift up our chin, we melt in Your eyes

Just one look, releases all our sighs.

Victory comes and soothes all our sorrows

We are encouraged to face our tomorrows.

Putting wounds behind us, we move on.

The old life is over, the pain is now gone.

Laying low before You, is all it takes

To bring us together and calm all the shakes.

It is so simple to confess and lean.

To give us Your perspective from all that's seen.

You are our God, we have none other.

You alone, are Mother and Father.

You cover us always, with tender care.

You never leave us, you are always there.

Finding assurance.  The best laid plans.

Come from heaven and not from man.

My Word conquers what stood in the way

Having faced death, you live another day.

Isa 57:15 NKJV

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
