ABOUT MAKING MISTAKES 1/09/13
In December 2012, I heard the following and have been
pondering its meaning.
12/05/12 WHAT’S COMING HOME TO ROOST?
HEARD:
You are starting to think that to get your
answers, you cant do anything wrong.
PIX:
I saw some cherries that had been washing in a
pitcher of water. The water and cherries were pouring
out leaving behind the stems.
HEARD:
Keep pressing through. It’s a matter of
time. Hungry. You are hearing Me very clearly. When
You prepare a table for Me. Releasing your desire.
PIX:
I saw a bunch of pigeons (turtle doves) who had
come home to roost on top of a green hedge and they were
eating berries.
I saw how our failure to measure up to the pure Word of
God is the pits. And how cherries can be harvested and
washed but they still have pits inside. God made
cherries in a way that we put the whole thing in our
mouth, suck and chew and spit out the pits. He didn’t
make them large enough to cut them open ahead of time,
de-pit them and then eat without a mess. It’s true
everybody has some kind of a pit in their life!
Matt 19:25
When His disciples heard it, they were greatly
astonished, saying, " Who then can be saved?" 26 But
Jesus looked at them and said to them, " With men this
is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
On 12/25/12, He told me He was giving those who had
fallen “another chance.” I have pondered the truth of
faith, and how when we suffer condemnation it is a veil
that keeps us from hearing Him and/or coming closer to
Him. For me, condemnation is a pit and when I mess up,
it puts that veil there.
Seeing a bunch of pigeons coming home to roost didn’t
sound too good to me! It is true that we reap what we
sow and God doesn’t give us what we deserve. But He
does allow enough of our harvest to touch us so that we
change! He isn’t doing this to condemn us and accuse
us. It is to help us come to His light and allow Him to
purge us of our pits!
John 3 17
For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might
be saved. 18 " He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation,
that the light has come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than light, because their deeds were
evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light
and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be
exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the
light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they
have been done in God."
PRAYER: Lord open our eyes to see the fruit of
our decisions. And please help us to change when they
come to light. In the process Lord, let us feel your
cleansing flow and deep abiding love for us, so that we
run to You and not be held back by our own
condemnation. In Jesus Name we pray! Amen.
1 John 3:20,21
For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our
heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does
not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
