RHEMA 6/11/06 ANOINTED IPOD!

I got an IPOD with my Christmas and BD money and have really been enjoying it. I put my worship CDs on it. A couple days ago I found a few places that gives free MP3 downloads of the Bible, so I took some time and downloaded some.

Tonight I was driving home from church at dusk and the following scripture came through my IPOD.

Ps 141:1-3 NKJV

LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.

We had a glorious sunset that filled the sky. It was so beautiful I stopped in a pullout and took a picture of it. I was marveling that the Lord creates such beauty for us to enjoy. Then when I got on the freeway I saw the moon and it had really pretty wispy clouds streaked in front of it. It looked like an artist had painted it by sweeping the brush straight across the clouds to sweep them in a line in front of it. These 2 scenes happened within about 5 minutes of each other.

As soon as I saw the moon, I turned the IPOD wheel at random. I did not have my reading glasses, and I just circled my finger around and stopped. GOD IS AWESOME. Here is where I turned to!!!

Ps 148:14 NKJV

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! PRAISE HIM, SUN AND MOON; Praise Him, all you stars of light! Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created. He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away. Praise the LORD from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths; Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word; Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl; Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children. Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven. And He has exalted the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints - Of the children of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise the LORD!

UPDATE RHEMA 6/22/06 THE URM AND THUMMIM

HEARD: Do you know what this is? The Urim and the Thummim.

PIX: I saw my new IPOD hanging from my neck.

[The Urim and the Thummim was worn around the neck of the priests and they used it to determine God's will. I have always experienced hearing God through "anointed hands" as like the Urim and the Thummim, where we open the scriptures at random and it hits us as very relevant to our need at the moment.]

In the Hebrew the terms Urim and Thummin literally meant making decisions or verdicts by the flame (or light) of complete (or perfect) truth.

Ex 28:30  AMP

In the breastplate of judgment you shall put the Urim and the Thummim [unspecified articles used when the high priest asked God's counsel for all Israel]; they shall be upon Aaron's heart when he goes in before the Lord, and Aaron shall bear the judgment (rights, judicial decisions) of the Israelites upon his heart before the Lord continually.  

The IPod is not a literal Urim and Thummin.  Rather the Lord was speaking about the experience I had.  The IPod experience was an example of hearing from God through divine events that line up adjoining sequences: where His will, His Word exactly lines up with natural circumstances with what we are doing, seeing, saying, hearing.  This is pretty regular for me to walk in this way and hear Him in this way, but it has taken years of tuning into Him to find that place.
