RHEMA
8/09/12 REACHING FOR APPOINTED BLESSINGS
HEARD: Trust Me.
PIX: I saw a big Rubbermaid box and a huge
pile of colored pen markers being dumped into it.
HEARD: I have appointed you for blessings.
WORD STUDY: APPOINTED
[To arrange in an order
manner, assign, determine, ordain, set, place, commit,
purpose, set.]
Acts 22:9
So I said, 'What shall I
do, Lord?' And the Lord said to me, 'Arise and go into
Damascus, and there you will be told all things which
are appointed {5021} for you to do.'
NT:5021 APPOINTED
tasso (tas'-so); a prolonged
form of a primary verb (which latter appears only in
certain tenses); to arrange in an orderly manner, i.e.
assign or dispose (to a certain position or lot):
KJV - addict, appoint,
determine, ordain, set.
John 15:16
You did not choose Me, but
I chose you and appointed {5087} you that you
should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should
remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He
may give you.
NT:5087
APPOINTED
tithemi (tith'-ay-mee); a
prolonged form of a primary theo (theh'-o) (which is
used only as alternate in certain tenses); to place (in
the widest application, literally and figuratively;
properly, in a passive or horizontal posture, and thus
different from NT:2476, which properly denotes an
upright and active position, while NT:2749 is properly
reflexive and utterly prostrate):
KJV - advise, appoint, bow,
commit, conceive, give, kneel down, lay (aside, down,
up), make, ordain, purpose, put, set (forth), settle,
sink down.
PIX: I saw my hands reaching up to shelves
too tall for me. I was waiting for the blessings to tip
over so I could catch them as they fell.
HEARD; My sweet little girl.
PIX: As I was pondering the word “set” in the
above Word study about appointed blessings, I saw a gem
stone being set into place.
PARABLE:
We have several shelves in
our house that are too tall for me to grab onto a box.
So in order to get them down off the shelves, I tap the
bases of the boxes to the edge and keep my hands up
there to catch the box as it comes down!
APPLICATION:
Sometimes the blessings and
Words that we are asking for are a tad too high for us,
and we need to reach up in order to retrieve them. In
those cases, all the Lord is asking is for us to merely
touch
bases with our requests and they will
begin to move and finally spill over for us to catch.
When these blessings come,
they will not spill out all at once, but are ordained to
be arranged in an order manner, assigned specifically
for us, determined with purpose, set unto place, and
commit to us.
Ps 132:17 KJV
There will I make the horn
of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine
anointed.
CONFIRMATION 8/19/12:
Today after I prepared this Word and before I posted it
a QW member shared this: …”having
a touch day!”
