RHEMA 6/23/12  SABBATH REST:  COMING INTO A RESTING AUTHORITY

HEARD:  She’s My friend.  She’s got a chip in.  A chip off the old block.  She’s Mine. 

MEANING OF THE CLICHÉ”:  A person or thing that derives from the source or parentage.

1 Peter 1:23-24 NKJV

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

VISION:  I was standing up in our granddaughter’s chair, reaching for something at the kid’s table.

HEARD:  Sit down sweetheart.  You need to sit down so you will not get hurt.

(PARABLE:  Our 2 year old granddaughter did that recently with a play dough knife in her hand and both Papa and I told her to sit down at the same time.  She has been in a highchair and now graduating to a chair at the kids table and she hasn’t learned safety yet.)

HEARD:  What is it you want to accomplish?  You are invited.  Rest.  The supernatural. 

“For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”  (Heb 4:8-11 KJV)

TURNING YOUR FOCUS OFF THE DEVIL  2/16/08

When in the midst of battle, long term warriors have developed sensitive scopes and agile trigger fingers.  They become so acute that they begin to shoot at anything that moves.  It is understandable dear ones, you have been in a long, long war.

Please remember through scripture that not everything alarming coming into your life is of the devil.  I am also teaching My own how to walk in the fear of the Lord.  Obedience is important, and I will use anything, including demons to chastise and train My children until they learn how to walk in righteousness according to scripture.

In all of these issues of overcoming, I am raising the standards so that My children will learn to crush satan under their feet through peace. It is a new mindset, a new walk into sabbath rest of perfect belief.  As they learn to walk in the fear of the Lord, all will mature in their faith and come to peace that what comes into their lives is for My purpose.  This gives them the rest to seek My face on to how to respond appropriately in each difficulty.  It is a process of maturation and focus.  I am slowly maturing and turning the focus of full time warriors onto My goodness and how to walk in the fear of their God.

Rom 11:22 NLT

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe to those who disobeyed, but kind to you as you continue to trust in his kindness.

John 5:19-21 NKJV

Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.  For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

EVEN IN TIGHT PLACES WILL I RAIN UPON YOU  12/27/99

As you wait upon Me, seeking what is coming, I say,  “Behold the great and prophetic day of the Lord!”  From all different directions, simultaneously, all around you will be a day of joy and a night of distress.  Look to Me, Your Equipper, Your Source, for I have a mighty baptism of power prepared for you.  I covenant to bring you into My Sabbath rest, where you speak the Word and it shall be so.  Your strivings shall cease and You shall know My power for which you have earnestly interceded.

The harvest is ripening.  It’s not quite time yet, then I will bring them home.  My great ingathering, I AM patiently waiting for the fullness of time!  I bring all things to maturity in their perfect time.  For even in you, with mature knowledge, there still lacks training.  I will send the rain, and swell the fruit and bring it to plumpness, fully ripe.  I give good gifts.  Experience the rain of My Presence!

Lift up your hands, holy and set apart unto Me, for even in tight places, will I rain Myself upon you.  I will break loose on all sides, and bring forth My chosen for such a time as this.  You have nothing to fear, for even when others are surrounded in the night of distress, I have given My angels charge concerning you.  Psalm 91 is My promise to you.  You are protected My Love, totally sheltered within the shadow of My wings.  Come now, rest in Me.

“Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!  And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.  "For in this the saying is true'One sows and another reaps.'  "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."  (John 4:34-38  NKJ)

REST, REST, AND REST  2/27/02

The load is heavy and much too much for you.  You just lean back and let Me carry you, and carry your load too.  You have wonderful healing gifts coming.  But I want you healthy to share them. I want to bring you into sabbath rest of perfect belief and trust in Me.

“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”  (Heb 4:9-11 KJV)

COMMENTS:  This rhema really ministers to me because for years and years and years I have prayed that the Lord would bring me into Sabbath rest of spiritual authority and in my relationship with the Lord. 

This week I have been listening to some Neville Johnson’s DVDs and been really impressed with his friendship with the Lord. Neville has not been speaking about Sabbath rest in these sermons, but it is very obvious in his demeanor and testimony that he has come into Sabbath rest.    The Lord told Neville that he needed to chill out and get more rest.  And he has obeyed and walks in such peace and rest in consistent fellowship with the Lord.  Last night I prayed and requested to come into this Sabbath resting place and friendship with Him. 

Neville says his life is just keeping Him in remembrance throughout his day and asking Him what He thinks about things.  Neville is always mindful of the things of the spirit.  He has come into such a resting place in the spirit that he can sit down in the early morning and have a cup of coffee with the Lord and go into visions and be carried away. 

The following is Neville’s testimony that impressed me so much as a testimony of having come into the rest of the Lord.  Last year when there was a 400 mile radius hurricane facing Australia.  It hit me so strongly that Neville did not stand up, yell, scream or threaten the hurricane, he simply talked to it.  It was done in complete rest knowing his sonship and authority in the Lord.  This is SO opposite of the Jacob’s today who yell and scream at the devil, with control and intimidation to get the devil to obey!

“We are going to have hurricanes, tornadoes like never before.  This is a part of the darkness that is coming.  And God allows some of that.  It’s part of His love for the world to try and turn the world back to Himself.  When people are in distress they tend to turn to the Lord.  God also wants to give us authority and connection within the realm of nature. 

We had a hurricane coming in on the east coast of Australia, which was 400 miles across.  Two hurricanes had joined together.  And the force of this, everyone panicked, it was enormous.  It was coming in on the northeastern coast of Australia.  My wife and I were on the veranda and we were praying about this whole thing.  I said, “Lord can this be stopped?”  And He said, “No.”  I said, ‘But if it comes on this current track, it will cross a highly populated area, a large town and the force of this hurricane is so great it will take the whole town out, 1,000s of people.  Lord cant we move it somewhere else where it is not so highly populated?”   The Lord looked at me and said, “That’s up to you!” 

My wife heard it at the same time - we both heard it together.  We looked at each other and so we got the map out.  It was coming in on this town over here, and there was a space with nobody living for about 300 miles.  And then there was another large town.  So I thought, “Well nothing tried, nothing gained!”  I said, “Ma, we’ve got to talk to this hurricane.  I said, “I want to talk to you.  You are not to come in over the coast on the track you are on.  You are to start tracking south and come across the land in between these 2 major towns.”

We were watching this on TV as it was coming in live.  15 minutes later when it was about 30-40 miles off the coast, it stopped.  And then it started tracking south.  We were watching it on TV. 

When it got right to the middle, I said, “NOW you can come in.”  I thought, “Please Lord!”  It turned right at that point and came straight from the coast at that point.  It killed a few people but nothing to the devastation that would have occurred if it had gone the way it was tracking. 

You see this whole realm of nature, some of it God is allowing.  Some of it, we will be able to stop.  And we have to know the difference. 

There has to be unity come at all of these levels.  We’ve been practicing this with the animal kingdom around us.  We now have birds fly into our house and sit on the fridge, waiting for the next person to open the fridge.  It’s uncanny.  These are wild animals, wild birds.  Lying in bed I hear this tap, tap, tap on the window.  Three little faces.  There is a unity coming on many levels, it is all connected.”

HEARD:  Destiny.  Using you for My glory.  Without a purpose My people fail.  It’s OK to see the future, but it’s better to live it.  Why not now? 

WORD TO PONDER:  SITTING, A NEW LEVEL OF AUTHORITY  6/23/12

Dear heart, I AM wanting to bring you into a new level of authority.  Yes I have taught you to stand against the wiles of the devil, withstand the evil day and having done all, to stand.  However there is a higher level of authority that is necessary and needed for the days to come.  This high place of authority is not in standing, but in sitting.

You have My immortal, incorruptible seed implanted within you, and you are Mine.  As My child, it is your destiny to sit with Me on My throne and rule and reign with Me.  The only way to come into this Sabbath resting place is to lay down your own strivings in all walks of life, and enter into the obedience of scripture, and accept My Sovereignty in everything.  Come dear one, enter into My Sabbath resting place, where you hear My Word and then you dispatch it with My authority.

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.  11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Eph 2:4-8 NKJV
