WORD TO PONDER: BUILD BRIDGES, NOT WALLS 11/15/07
Beloved, in a world of many languages, many cultures and
many mindsets, your life is bound to come face to face
with people who do not understand the language you
speak, or your terms of reference. I delight in using
unusual methods of speech, because when it is quickened,
it fits the unusual circumstances of people’s lives and
then lives on again to touch another in a different
way. Be willing to stretch your box to contain more of
Me and understand that My world is spiritual, in another
dimension, superimposed on top of the world you live in.
Precious ones all over the earth are hungry for Me. The
world is growing smaller, as technology and media
crosses cultural boundaries. Simply learn to be more
aware that language references can be barriers and
stumbling blocks. If you are educated to see a
potential glitch that can cause someone to fall, simply
point it out and help people to understand exactly what
you are referring to. This walk in loving humility,
will eventually build bridges and not walls. Red and
yellow, black and white, all are precious in My sight.
Gen 11:6-9 NKJV
And the LORD said, "Indeed the people are one and
they all have one language, and this is what they begin
to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be
withheld from them. Come, let Us go down and there
confuse their language, that they may not understand one
another's speech." So the LORD scattered them abroad
from there over the face of all the earth, and they
ceased building the city. Therefore its name is called
Babel , because there the LORD confused the language of
all the earth; and from there the LORD scattered them
abroad over the face of all the earth.
Col 3:12-17 NKJV
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put
on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness,
longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving
one another, if anyone has a complaint against another;
even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But
above all these things put on love, which is the bond of
perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your
hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and
be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly
in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace
in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word
or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God the Father through Him. |
