COMFORT IS 2 WAYS 9/22/09
Today a QW Class member shared that when she read “Come
forth” she saw the words Com and Fort in them, which is
comfort.
I then remembered that when I ask the Lord for His
comfort, I say please “Come for” me with Your comfort.
It is a word pun that was inspired by Him in prayer and
now a common request where the 2 are synonymous; my
comfort is for Him to come for me. I think of Elijah
when the Spirit of the Lord lifted him up and carried
him to see in the Spirit. (Ezek 3:12)
Now if I add the inspiration from our class member, I
see comfort as a 2 way street. We request comfort for
Him to come to us. And He receives comfort when we come
to Him!
Matt 14:29-30 NKJV
So He said, "Come ." And when Peter had come down
out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
John 11:43-44 NKJV
He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth !" 44
And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with
graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth.
Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."
Matt 12:28-29 NKJV
But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely
the kingdom of God has come upon you.
John 6:44 NKJV
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me
draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
