DOORS,
DOORS AND MORE DOORS
[A
Season of Closing and Opening Doors]
Hi Loved
Ones,
This
year 2004, the Lord has clearly said to many prophetic
people that it is the year of doors. After the Day of
Atonement last fall I have seen several doors which
brought me to the conclusion that He was highlighting a
theme on doors.
If I
were to highlight perhaps just one main door among many,
I believe it would be called the Door of Opportunity. I
have just walked through several months of doors of
opportunity and have come to the conclusion that this
door is two fold. There is an "in" door and there is an
"out" door. There are doors opening to the Lord, doors
opening to the enemy; doors the Lord wants us to walk
through, doors the Lord wants us to shut, doors the
enemy wants us to walk through and doors the enemy wants
us to miss.
My life
has been so consumed with doors the past few months that
it has almost been like a revolving door. To say it
clearly, "Stop the world and let me off!" Now the Lord
does not want us to be walking in circles and
merry-go-rounds, neither does He want us walking out the
in door and in the out door. His earnest desire for us
is to pray and listen; then choose and walk the right
path.
If I
could say it even more clearly, I believe we are at a
crossroads and the doors we choose will determine our
future. It is true that each day the Lord places us at a
crossroad and every decision we make determines our
future. However this year we are being presented some
wonderful opportunities to get off our merry-go-rounds
and forever walk away and move forward into our
promises.
As you
can guess, the upcoming series will be about doors. In
order to make the right decisions that are being
presented to us, we need to be persistent in prayer
until we clearly hear from the Lord about each issue.
The first 3 posts are about persistence. After that, the
following posts on specific doors will be posted in
pairs. The first post of the week will be about a door
to close, and the last post of the week will be the door
to open in its stead.

QUICKENED THOUGHT: In every opportunity is a choice. In
every choice is a test. In every test there is a
destiny.
"For a
great and effective door has opened to me, and there are
many adversaries." (1 Cor 16:9 NKJV)

UPDATE
NOTE: After I wrote this upcoming series on doors, I
received confirmations from 3 other ministries that are
preaching about doors right now. The Holy Spirit is
really highlighting this message. Here is a 4th
confirmation I received this week:
QUOTE
MAHESH:
Mahesh’s
Website: http://www.watchofthelord.com
On the
way home from church I had a Mahesh tape on in the car.
Here is his quote: "I saw many of you like a mansion, a
beautiful house. I saw many doors to this beautiful
house. When I was praying, I saw angels of God. You know
when you check the doors at night? They were checking
the doors. Some of your doors need to be locked and
secure. If not, the thief comes in through those doors
that are not locked or slightly opened. You’ve got to
lock those doors. Don’t let the enemy in."
John
10:10 NLT
The
thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My
purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

{Words
to Ponder are summaries of His quickened Words}
OPPORTUNITY KNOCKING
Sometimes you will be offered opportunities in your
life, and you may start to walk through the door, but I
will place a deep unrest in your soul. Listen to your
level of peace. For I am walking in you, and My peace
abides with you as you please the Father. When you have
lost your peace, stop and reconsider your direction.
Sometimes doors open so you can get a tiny taste of
something different merely to confirm and replant the
way you are already going. Sometimes a new door is a
temptation to stray and let go of what you have.
If you
think that you might be able to handle both the
direction you are taking now, and also the opportunity
presented, reconsider. For both are in their infant
stage and you can not hold and nurture two babies at
once. Either you will neglect the one while you give to
the other, or you will become distracted and give
neither the time they deserve. Do not be disheartened by
small beginnings, for I delight in growing and
multiplying them.
"You
will show me the path of life; In Your presence is
fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures
forevermore." (Ps 16:11 NKJV)
