2/12/18 DOORS AND THE GRACE TO RESET

The word “Reset” has been a buzz word/ promise among the prophetic for a few years now.  It has to do with starting over, like winding and resetting a clock.  Today I felt inspired to write about it in a different venue.  I have learned to “reset” my mind, will and emotions through simply walking through doors!

Has anyone ever gotten up from your chair or are already doing something, and suddenly remember something you need to get/do… Then when you walk into the other room, you cant remember what it was you were retrieving!  Sometimes you start to go back to the other room, or go back to the other room and immediately remember you remember what you needed!

Years ago I heard of a study that showed how the brain has compartments and memories that are like doors.  When we are in one room and walk through a doorway in our homes, it presents a total different environment and it somehow effects our brain to “reset.”  It takes us a while to acclimatize to the new room and then we remember what we are there for.

The one thing about going through doors is that it leaves the other room behind, and that is part of the reason why people forget what they got up for. 

I have found that life is like that for me.  Since I am at home most of the time, I use our house as a refuge with many  doors.  Our garage/ game room has all my scrapbook stuff in it and when I go in there, it is just me and the babies and my love for color and design and I get lost in the joy of creating.  When I come back and sit at my computer I concentrate in my work with the websites and ministries.  When I scribe my rhema, I seek the Lord for revelation and putting pieces together and searching His heart as to what He is saying.  When I take my walks I breath deep and enjoy creation and destress by casting my burdens upon Him.  When I go into the kitchen I get focused on cooking and cleaning. When I step into the shower I speak in tongues and prayer as the water rushes over me. When I go to bed and lay down in silence, I become totally focused on the Lord.

Sometimes people relocate their home, job, family and it is total reset leaving the stress of yesterday behind.  All of life is stressful, but we each need ways to reset in different ways and I sense the Lord is asking us to become acquainted with the concept of “reset” when we walk through literal doors to accomplish a task.   As we learn to reset it can become a way to refresh our mind, will, emotions, and relationships with people and the Lord. 

This may seem strange, but I have been doing this for some time now.  The habit enables me to cast my burdens and what is stressing me to the Lord and then turn my back on the issue and do something else!  The best part about walking through a door to reset, is that when you “eventually” come back to that place you no longer have the weight on you because you have RESET. 

Today when I went on my short walk, even though it was chilly, I noticed how many spring bulbs had popped up.  I smiled when I saw tiny little pink dots on the ends of tree branches, already knowing the bountiful pink display they will be in their fullness.  It was all so refreshing and when I returned back to my chair, I knew I had RESET!

Isaiah 43:18-19 Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

BALANCE WORK AND PLAY  3/02/07

Many have been suffering log jam for years.  Pressing through tasks that are backed up for miles, they have endeavored to move forward through the pile, only to get overloaded and then have to dump and reset all to start over.

Try changing your priorities and endeavor to bring balance to your lives through work and play.  Find ways to refresh your soul, body and spirit that are away from the log jam.  You will find that in the passing of time, some of what you have endeavored to press through is no longer important because the course has changed.  Keep the best part and focus on bringing it to completion before building more.

And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised . I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind.

TRIGGER POINT TRAUMAS AND TRAFFIC JAMS  5/26/13

Precious ones, I understand how hard it is when you have suffered extreme pressure or trauma from storms in your past.  These tend to stay below ground, hidden until you get in close proximity to something that triggers a memory of that time in your life.  You wince and pull back and find yourself facing old emotions that are painful.  When you are not yet healed of such, it can cause you to be frozen in time and stuck in old emotional patterns.

When this happens, give that pattern to Me and ask Me to heal you. Often it is a simple matter of rebooting, just like your computer.  Sometimes your circuitry gets overloaded with too much “stuff” and you need to dump the weight of old memories into My lap and then click reset.

Dear heart, you are a brand new person now.  Repentance set you free, repentance changed you and now you walk in a new pair of shoes.  Keep treading and keep the enemy’s attempts to hinder your progress under your feet.  Those old snakes are dead meat.  Who is more than a conqueror?  Through My love for you, YOU ARE.

DIVINE TIMING IS NOW  3/01/16

Dear ones you have been contending for all delays to be over.  The delay is history.  Spring forward and reset your clocks!  There is a new watch now and it is set on NOW IS THE TIME.  Yes beloveds, the kingdom is NOW.  I AM moving NOW.  You are advancing NOW. 

Each and every day will be your adventure as you wait and watch with Me.  Yes you waited so long, I understand.  Now get in synch, in harmony and in the flow of My river because My current has already moved past like water under a bridge.
