EACH MAN MUST FACE HIS OWN
BESOR
DREAM:
I dreamed I was supposed to play in the concert as 1st
chair clarinet in the band, which was my position
growing up in school bands. I did not have my clarinet
so Wayne took me back to the storage and we saw a backup
lap top on the top shelf. Wayne said that every week he
opened it up and kept it charged for me in case I would
need it. He had been faithful to do that all those
years and I never even knew it. I knew we would have to
go find my clarinet and the conductor would think very
poorly of me and would mark me down for either being
late for the concert or not showing up at all.
HEARD:
Where are you headed? Each man must face his own
Brook of Besor. You faced yours. Why is this
important? Not by might, not by power, but by My
Spirit. That’s why.
WORD TO PONDER: FACING
YOUR OWN BROOK OF BESOR 5/16/07
There are times in your life
where you have labored, warred, and spent all you had to
stay committed and faithful. And when the demand for
recovery became too great to bear, I sent you to your
own brook of Besor. My dearest child, I understand that
this felt like the most painful defeat for you, to not
be able to keep up with the demands and needs of the
hour.
Please know that I have not
deemed you unfit, disqualified, or unfaithful. You have
suffered remorse, shame and grief as you have waited
upon Me in order to hear the cheerful news of the reward
of recovering what was lost in your life. I sent you to
Besor to rest and take on a new position of keeping
watch over the camp, tarrying by the stuff while the
warriors went on to conquer and bring back the booty.
Dear one, your portion of reward and bounty will be
exactly the same as those who went to battle.
Perhaps you will find a
deeper comfort in knowing why I allowed you to become so
deeply spent. It is because of My call upon your life.
What I AM building will not come through the might and
power of man’s talents, gifts or tenacity. It will come
only by My Spirit so that no man will glory in My
Presence. You have learned your lessons well and are
prepared.
Zech 4:6-7 NKJV
"This is the word of the
LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by
My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts. 'Who are you, O
great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a
plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts
of "Grace, grace to it!"'"
Sam 30:9-10 NKJV
So David went, he and the
six hundred men who were with him, and came to the Brook
Besor , where those stayed who were left behind. But
David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred
stayed behind, who were so weary that they could not
cross the Brook Besor. {1308}
1 Sam 30:21-25 NKJV
Now David came to the two
hundred men who had been so weary that they could not
follow David, whom they also had made to stay at the
Brook Besor . {1308} So they went out to meet David and
to meet the people who were with him. And when David
came near the people, he greeted them. Then all the
wicked and worthless men of those who went with David
answered and said, "Because they did not go with us, we
will not give them any of the spoil that we have
recovered, except for every man's wife and children,
that they may lead them away and depart." But David
said, "My brethren, you shall not do so with what the
LORD has given us, who has preserved us and delivered
into our hand the troop that came against us. For who
will heed you in this matter? But as his part is who
goes down to the battle, so shall his part be who stays
by the supplies; they shall share alike." So it was,
from that day forward; he made it a statute and an
ordinance for Israel to this day.

Isa 61:1-3 KJV
The Spirit of the Lord GOD
is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach
GOOD TIDINGS {1308} unto the meek; he hath sent me to
bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are
bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that
mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to
give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for
mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might
be glorified.
Nah 1:15 NKJV
Behold, on the mountains
The feet of him who brings GOOD TIDINGS, {1308} who
proclaims peace! |
