1/23/09 EMOTIONAL CRUTCHES
HEARD: I am training you. Balance.
[I woke up with a headache after eating too many salty
crackers last night. The first portion was fine to take
with my meds, but I had a second portion and I knew I
did not need it, it was only appetite that I ate them.]
WAYNE’S WORD: He saw a large place with rafters
and all these woven wicker stools stacked one on top of
another. I knew this was related to the following lines
in a poem. I sent them to a person a couple days ago
who was trying to get rid of an emotional crutch in his
life.
From flaming the fires to burning the dross
My heart tumbles and turns as the tares are tossed.
Dear God I need my stool to be stable
Let me rest and lean as I am able.
Is it so wrong to need this stool?
I hope I have not missed it - that I am no fool.
My heart cries to You to help me through it.
It is in Your lap that I crave to sit.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly
clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into
the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with uquenchable
fire. [/quote]
QUICKENED: The loft reminds me of the harvesting
barn where the Lord has separated the tares from the
wheat in our lives. The fact that the stools were made
of a basket weaving was also quickened to me. Weaving a
basket represents waiting on the Lord. Baskets are
created by binding together by twisting.
Isa 40:31
But those who wait {6960} on the LORD Shall renew
their strength; They shall mount up with wings like
eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk
and not faint.
HEBREW WAIT
OT:6960
OT:6960 qavah (kaw-vaw'); a primitive root; to bind
together (perhaps by twisting), i.e. collect;
(figuratively) to expect:
KJV - gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait
(for, on, upon).
POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION: The Lord is taking away
our emotional crutches, leaning posts/ stools so that we
will lean upon Him. However in the process, He is
accepting them as sacrifices unto Him when we give them
up and He converts our sacrifice as good fruit to
preserve. Due to economy and shakings, many are in the
process of giving up many emotional crutches in the
world, and waiting upon Him to replace them with His
provision instead. This is pleasing the Lord.
1 Cor 10:23-24 NKJV
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are
helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all
things edify.
1 Cor 10:31 NKJV
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you
do, do all to the glory of God. |
