ENDURANCE
QUICKENED WORD: ENDURANCE
Today I pondered the word “Endurance” and realized how
important that word is for preparation of end time
events. The Lord has been preparing a generation who
were raised in the wilderness, testing their faith. The
remnant that has run their race and not allowed their
love to grow cold, are overcoming!!
Matt 24:13 NKJV
But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
WORD O GRAM: ENDURANCE 8/02/12
Enduring
with cheerful hope,
Nor
forsaking my faith, but
Deepening
my roots while
Undergoing
trials, I
Refuse my
love to grow cold;
Always
hoping, believing and enduring all things.
Needing
to bear up and undergo, I
Continue
to abide with patience, because
Enduring
this life, I will reign with Him.
ENDURE
NT:5281
hupomone (hoop-om-on-ay'); from NT:5278; cheerful (or
hopeful) endurance, constancy:
KJV - enduring, patience, patient continuance (waiting).
NT:5278
hupomeno (hoop-om-en'-o); from NT:5259 and NT:3306; to
stay under (behind), i.e. remain; figuratively, to
undergo, i.e. bear (trials), have fortitude, persevere:
KJV - abide, endure, (take) patient (-ly), suffer, tarry
behind.
1 Cor 9:24-27 NKJV
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run,
but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you
may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the
prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to
obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty.
Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I
discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest,
when I have preached to others, I myself should become
disqualified.
Heb 12:1-2 NKJV
…let us run with endurance the race that is set
before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher
of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him
endured the cross, despising (ignoring) the shame,
and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Acts 20:24 NKJV
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my
life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with
joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord
Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
1 Tim 4:8 NKJV
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness
is profitable for all things, having promise of the life
that now is and of that which is to come.
Phil 3:13-16 NKJV
Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended;
but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are
behind and reaching forward to those things which are
ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the
upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let us,
as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in
anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this
to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have
already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us
be of the same mind.
Matt 13:20-22 NKJV
But he who received the seed on stony places, this is
he who hears the word and immediately receives it with
joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures
only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution
arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Matt 24:12-14 NKJV
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many
will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end
shall be saved.
John 6:27
Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the
food which endures to everlasting life, which the
Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set
His seal on Him."
1 Cor 3:11-15
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that
which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone
builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one's work will become
clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be
revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's
work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone's work which he
has built on it endures, he will receive a
reward. 15
1 Cor 13:4-7
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy;
love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does
not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not
provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in
iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, endures
all things.
2 Thess 1:4-5
…patience and faith in all your persecutions and
tribulations that you endure..
2 Tim 2:3-6
You therefore must endure hardship as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare
entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he
may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also
if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned
unless he competes according to the rules.
2 Tim 2:12
If we endure, We shall also reign with Him.
Heb 6:13-16
For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He
could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14
saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and
multiplying I will multiply you." 15 And so, after he
had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
James 1:12-13
Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for
when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of
life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
1
James 5:10-11
My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name
of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. 11
Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have
heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end
intended by the Lord — that the Lord is very
compassionate and merciful.
1 Peter 1:23-25
Not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through
the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24
because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man
as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its
flower falls away, 25 But the word of the Lord
endures forever."
CONFIRMATION: QUOTE
NEVILLE JOHNSON 8/10/12: “It is not a race
to be the first one to get across the finish line It is
a race to endure. If you endure til the end, you won.” |
