FACING A MOUNTAIN? BE OBEDIENT 5/02/12
I received the following Word over someone in the
Corporate Prophesy Room and knew this was a Word for us
all. (Peter and Joseph received personal Words that
were shared and the Words were fulfilled as corporate
Words.)
HEARD: Mountain. Just one sentence. Be
obedient. There you have it.
[Driving out of town, again praying over this]
QUICKENED EYE GLANCE: I saw a sign called, Main
street.
IMPRESSION: Let the main thing be the main
thing.
QUICKENED MEMORY: I remembered hearing the
phrase “Just one sentence” this morning and felt the
Lord was pointing to just one Word He wanted to speak
and that was about being obedient.
IMPRESSION: You are facing a Mt in your life,
something that you have circled many times and the Lord
is saying that the way past this Mt is to be obedient.
This Mt is an opposition to keep you from getting where
you are wanting to go. If you are like me in myself
facing mts, this is about a change in mindset. Every
one of us have mindsets. Mindsets are strongholds in
the way we think that keep us locked in circular
patterns that don’t change. The only way to change
those places is to line up with God’s way of thinking.
One mindset might be that you think some trial is of the
devil when it is actually God’s way of knocking on your
door to become obedient in that area and to change the
way you either think or approach such.
Being willing is the idea of listening to those places
that are causing tension in your life, and bowing low in
humility to line up with His Word. Examine your own
heart, allow Him to search you and spotlight those
places in your life. This is for your good, so the
mountains that you are praying about will be removed.
Change is never easy, but it is much easier when we have
been shown a way out through obedience in whatever area
God is speaking about.
Prov 16:7 NKJV
When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his
enemies to be at peace with him.
Heb 5:8 NKJV
Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the
things which He suffered.
HEARD: Be obedient.
2 Cor 10:4-6 NKJV
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but
mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting
down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being
ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is
fulfilled.
QUESTION: DID JESUS SUFFER WARFARE?
Yes, Jesus faced opposition. Demons opposed Him. But
because Jesus was obedient to the Father, the devils
were obedient to Jesus. Jesus simply rebuked them, told
them to shut up and to go.
Jesus escaped the evil plots of men until it was “His
time.” He did have opposition from men but was given
ways to escape such. However it was the Father’s will
that Jesus suffer and die and so that doesn’t mean that
even if we please God in everything, that we will be
given ways to escape opposition from men. Jesus always
did His Father’s will and lived to please Him.
John 4:34-35
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him
who sent Me, and to finish His work.
Thou art My Beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased.
Jesus had passion to be one with the Father. He was
driven by His love for His Father. It was all about His
relationship with His Father.
John 8:28-30
Then Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of
Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do
nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak
these things. 29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The
Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those
things that please Him." 30 As He spoke these words,
many believed in Him.
Matt 3:17
And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This
is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Rom 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made
sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be
made righteous.
Phil 2:8-9
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled
Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even
the death of the cross. 9
ABOUT FACING OPPOSITION
I am reminded of the show, The Dog Whisperer. Dogs have
to have permission from the pack leader to come into
their intimate space. Otherwise they hold themselves at
bay until they are invited in. The way a dog tells
another dog to get out of their private space is facing
them directly with eye contact in an assertive way.
When a pack leader turns away, it allows the pack to
approach him.
We must face our opponents and tell them to go. Jesus
told us to speak to the Mt and it will be removed. If
we want these opponents in our life, we ignore them and
don’t give them any attention and then they come and
trespass because we let them. If we want the authority
to have influence over those Mts, it comes through
obedience.
APPLICATION: I prayed about how to resolve the
Mts, this scripture came to me:
Phil 4:8 KJV
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there
be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things.
I perceive that the thing the Lord is asking you to be
obedient about, relates to that verse. This relates to
your thinking patterns and things that you dwell on,
possibly even what you read. I feel that the Lord loves
you so much and has been wanting to give you this
understanding, so that the Mt in your life will be
removed and it is His love that has targeted this area
to help you overcome.
My sense is that He is pleased with your progress as you
have submitted to Him in overcoming your Mts and this is
just another spotlight identifying such. He loves the
fact that you want to please Him and He sees your life
as a journey and is not disappointed in your ups and
downs. He believes in you much more than you believe in
yourself! And He IS answering your prayers, it is just
in ways that are strong meat, such as this Word.
PRAYER: Lord I pray that You will help us judge
ourselves, and see those places where our thought
patterns are not lining up with Your way of thinking.
Help us to realign with Your Word in scripture and over
our lives, so that whatever Mts we are facing can
finally be overcome in Jesus Name.
2 Cor 13:5-6 AMP
Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see
whether you are holding to your faith and showing the
proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not
Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know
[thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus
Christ is in you — unless you are [counterfeits]
disapproved on trial and rejected? 6 But I hope you will
recognize and know that we are not disapproved on trial
and rejected.
