A FLY IN THE OINTMENT

A fly represents a lying spirit.

COINED PHRASE:  A fly in the ointment

In English , the phrase fly in the ointment is an idiomatic expression for a drawback, especially one that was not at first apparent. 

For five centuries, 'a fly in the ointment' has meant a small defect that spoils something valuable or is a source of annoyance.  The modern version thus suggests that something unpleasant may come or has come to light in a proposition or condition that is almost too pleasing; that there is something wrong hidden, unexpected somewhere.

Dear ones, there is a strong delusion that has swept over the land.  To those who walk in My paths of righteousness, I have made all things known so that your eyes are opened to know the truth. Yes you are seeing that there is a lying spirit ruling in the land today and it has caused a stench in the anointing of those who walk in with the honor of worldly authority.  Fools have always been known by their fruit, and so it is today. 

It will take time, My beloveds, to expose the truth, destroy the lies and reset mankind’s mindsights to know the way of wisdom and accountability.  I will tear down the lies.  And as you wait upon Me and reflect on what has gone awry in your country, heed the wisdom of My Word: If the spirit of those in authority rise up against you, do not leave your post; instead spend time in quietness and strength before Me and then your calm spirit will pacify the offenses as you expect Me to defend you.
