GRADUATING FROM THE PAST
PARABLE: Today I cleaned out my refrigerator. I
organized it with more turn tables so that space in the
back would be able to be used. When I started reaching
in the back I found 9 lemons. Some how this struck me as
very funny. I started laughing and laughing. They were
all in various stages of dehydration. A couple were so
hard and pruny you probably couldn't cut a knife through
them. Most were pathetic looking, and the fact I had
hidden away all these lemons that couldn't be seen was
very funny to me. I almost laughed hysterically.
INTERPRETATION: I decided whatever spiritual lemons from
my past that I had held onto just had to go! I counted
them because the Lord quickened this to me that it was a
parable. When we go through trials, it is so that we
will grow in the 9 fruits of the Spirit and bear eternal
fruit. (Gal 5:22,23; John 15:16) Some of those old
bitter times just need to be thrown out, they are no
longer necessary because we overcame them.

DREAM: DON’T LET YOUR PAST DETERMINE YOUR FUTURE
A boy I knew was in a gown and ready to graduate. In the
midst of his friends I prophesied over him. I said he
was graduating and the Lord says, "I am very proud of
you." Then I said, "You have just reached a corner in
your life and you are in the process of turning it now."
I told him about my "headlight/rear view mirror" story
where I had been feeling sad about something in my past
then drove past a sign that said, "You can't go forward
when you are looking through the rear view mirror." I
finished by telling the boy, "God says don't let your
past determine your future."
============
HEARD: I want a rear view mirror. My advice, pray about
it. Some of this is old stuff.
Graduate. Let’s talk about that. A hero of faith.
Circular motion. You're getting pretty good at that.
Keep up the good work. A fresh coat. Polish.
COMMENT: When I heard a circular motion, I thought of
the parable in the old Karate Kid movie where he learned
the karate movement of "wax on, wax off." The maneuver
was in a circular motion like waxing a car. Waxing and
polishing the car was how he learned to fight off the
enemy with a defensive stand.
INTERPRETATION: The Lord is saying that I am looking at
the past but He is graduating me. I waited upon Him for
my promises, while walking in circles and learning to
stand in seasons of warfare.
============
HEARD: I saw them sitting on the steps. Most of them
have waited too long already. Crying.
VISION: I saw a key being turned in a lock.
HEARD: It’s time to tell you. You have learned
obedience. It’s enough. Loosed and set free.
VISION: I was standing in a place where I used to be in
my past.
HEARD: You are looking at the past for some reason. You
used to be here. It’s all over, the future is before
you. Before you only knew numbers, like the school house
of the law. Now you know the grace to abide. You’ve come
a large enough distance to be able to see it from a
different perspective. I am re-defining you.
Translucent. King’s favor. You are chosen.
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him
Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who
establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is
God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit
in our hearts as a guarantee." (2 Cor 1:20-22 NKJV)

prophetic revelation, punched with the word of wisdom
and written under inspiration.}
WORD TO PONDER: GRADUATING FROM THE PAST
I am so very proud of you My Beloved. Long you have
waited for Me! Walking in so many circles, repeating the
same old patterns of Egypt’s desires, you have grown so
weary of waiting and so weary of yourself that all you
can do now is just sit down and climb no more. I hear
your sighs and your cries precious. How I love you!
The past is over now. It’s old stuff. Let go of feeling
sad about it and look to Me, your promise and your hope.
You can't go forward when you are looking back. Don't
let your past determine your future. You are graduating!
Even now I have the key in the lock and am opening your
prison doors. Enough of the past, I am setting you free.
You learned obedience through the school of the law, and
learned that the law fails. Now I am redefining you to
know that love fulfills it all. As you love Me, you will
experience the grace to abide in Me. It is only in
abiding in Me that you can produce the fruit of self
control. I am re-defining you. You have the favor of
your King upon you, dear chosen one.
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him
Amen, to the glory of God through us. Now He who
establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is
God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in
our hearts as a guarantee." (2 Cor 1:20-22 NKJV)
