GLORYING IN THE SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCES   2/17/07 

EXPERIENCE:  I was listening to a testimony of a man who was visited by an angel.  He said that the angel showed him awesome revelation about the future and what is to come. Then he proceeded to tell the audience the bad things the angel said would happen in specific years.  I was totally astounded by the demeanor, face and voice of the person sharing this testimony.  He was so taken by the supernatural experience of receiving a revelation from an angel, that he did not appear to be the slightest bit touched by the devastation and pain that the bad news the angel brought.  He had no call for repentance, no call for intercessors to stand in the gap, nothing but a somewhat ecstatic demeanor that he had been visited and given this prophetic revelation.  He was totally glorying in the revelation and this grieved me.

HEARD:  It’s amazing what they kill in order to eat.

Col 2:18-19 NKJV

Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels , intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

Gal 1:6-8 NKJV

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

2 Cor 11:14 NKJV

And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
