GOD'S GLORY UPON OUR FACES 1/19/08
Today I was reflecting on a testimony Patricia King
shared on God TV where 2 people that had been witnessing
on the streets - their faces glowed with literal light
to those they were witnessing to. It brought the people
to the Lord because they were so amazed at seeing the
light. Others on the team could not see the light, but
the people that they were talking to sure could!
Heard:
Treasures. Simple. Shining like a light bulb. You
shall do that too. One day all men shall see it.
Isa 60:5 NKJV
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory
of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the
darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the
people; But the LORD will arise over you, And
His glory will be seen
upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And
kings to the brightness of your rising. 4
"Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather
together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from
afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5
Then you shall see
and become radiant, And your heart shall
swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall
be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come
to you.

Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the
kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let
him hear!

At this point everyone in the council stared at
Stephen because his face became as bright as an angel's.

And when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the
radiance of Moses' face, they were afraid to come near
him.

As the men watched, Jesus' appearance changed so that
his face shone like the sun, and his clothing became
dazzling white. 3

it began with such glory that the people of Israel
could not bear to look at Moses' face. For his face
shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness
was already fading away. 8 Shouldn't we expect far
greater glory when the Holy Spirit is giving life?

And all of us have had that veil removed so that we
can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the
Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we
become more and more like him and reflect his glory even
more.
