GOOD NEWS, BAD NEWS: YOUR VOTE
COUNTS 3/31/10
For 13 years now, I have had up to
4 different stats services that tell me what people like
to read and what they are searching for. It has totally
boggled my mind that they will click on bad news 3-4
times more often than good news. More specifically if
the subject is about warfare, demons, or warnings, the
ratings shoot way up. The fact is, that news about
God’s goodness, it is just not as popular. Consider how
those stats relate globally in a world inundated with
media. Now consider what salt you pour into the world
to counteract the stats.
God says a lot about this subject,
but let’s reduce it down to just 2 verses:

Do not
be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
(.... why? Because God is GOOD.)

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever
things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever
things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever
things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if
there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these
things.
(... why? Because if satan
distracts us if just for a moment, he is taking our
worship and focus off God.)
When I look at the stats from
Google telling me who types in what question that lands
them at my website... by far, the top question is
how to
overcome demonic dreams.

VOTING WITH OUR MONEY AND
WORDS. I have often pondered the truth that we do
not realize how much we are casting our votes in the
world to endorse, fund and keep the bad news so highly
valued. People spend money to go to the movies and the
money is counted to tell the producers what they want to
hear.
Direct TV tracks what you record to
watch later. If you watch a certain kind of show, they
have a feature that recommends other shows like the ones
you watch. All this information is valued to the
marketers who want to know what you are interested in.
Google ads come along side so many
of website’s pages. The ads match the contents of the
website. Google ads match the contents of emails inside
gmail. Every time you search something on the internet
or speak something, the google ads pick these stats up
and know pretty much everything about your interests.
If we vote for a candidate that
appeases our pocketbooks, but who supports funding
abortions, we are telling them we support funding
abortions.
If you dont want witchcraft in your
homes and children dont watch magic in Walt Disney
shows.
These are all cause and effect. We
spend, they produce what we spend. Consider that your
life, your vote COUNTS. The salt and standards of your
life MATTERS in what you plant into the world. It is a
literal vote with every choice you make. And it is a
spiritual choice with every motive you have.
