GUARD YOUR HEART 4/23/07
Today I sent a post to a friend that is not on my list.
I said, "Please guard your heart and family and dont
let your candle grow dim." I knew this person had
family and other commitments and needed to stay pressed
into the Lord and not numb out with the world.
STRONG CONFIRMATION: Then later I asked Tao how
his weekend was and he had quite a time taking care of
his 3 children all under the age of 5. Then he said,
“In the middle of Saturday, I heard a word from
Proverbs: 4:23 ‘Above all else, guard your heart, for
it is the wellspring of life.’ What was quickened to
me this time from this verse was to not only guard my
spiritual heart but also my physical heart. Immediately
I rested from activities and gave myself a break.”
{end Tao note}
WALKING OUT A PARABLE: Today my housecleaner
said she had to work extra for one of our mutual
friends, as she was having an important meeting in her
home tonight. She did not have time to get it all done,
and yet she had come to my home to do our house too. So
I asked her if we could both go back over to our
friend’s house and finish. Our friend is a single Mom
who works full time with 3 kids. It felt good to me to
get out of the house and away from the computer and the
Lord gave me extra energy today so I loved giving in
this simple way. I brought my worship music and we
turned it on loud and sang to the Lord while working. I
felt His Presence and we flooded her home with Him.
It was a really hot day today and I was wearing sandals
and noticed how winter-ized my feet were and decided I
would spend some of my BD money and go get a pedicure
with pretty pink toenails for summer time sandals. They
had time to squeeze me in so I went right away. Then as
my feet were soaking after working at our friend’s
house, I opened my Words to Ponder file on my PPC in
hopes the Lord would talk to me. I was totally tickled,
as my eye glanced at the following quickened Word. I
bolded the part where my eye glanced.
EYE GLANCE WHILE GETTING A PEDICURE:
DAILY REST 6/08/05
How extravagantly you spend of yourself, My child! I
watch as you pour yourself out, while juggling the many
details as needs press you from all directions. I hear
your cries for more backup and help. I send forth
angelic hosts because of your prayers and I draw out
human helpers to stand with you.
Always remember to place your own need for rest on the
pile of details. Take time every day to nurture your
spirit, soul and body. I want to help you come into a
balanced load that is not lopsided. Reconsider all
that you are saying yes to, and reconsider delegating
these things to others which I have placed in your
path. Remember when you are yoked with Me, what I ask
you to carry is light and easy.
Isa 28:12 NKJV
To whom He said, "This is the rest with which you may
cause the weary to rest," And, "This is the refreshing";
Yet they would not hear.
========
I was smiling that He would give me that Word to Ponder
because I felt very nurtured and pampered having my feet
done! Also I felt I had just walked out a parable
connecting Tao’s weekend with kids, our mutual friend’s
need, and my need to get out of the house. I saw the
trap that so many are in, spending themselves towards
burnout and then wanting to numb out instead of guarding
their hearts. I saw the common theme that balanced
living IS rest. When we get the rest we need, we
guard our hearts from turning to the wrong sources for
sustenance.
I love His Words!!! He weaves them with such intimacy.
Hey I had a wonderful day today, it was a good balance
and I even cleaned out a closet after a long winter
of... well... stuffing!
WORD TO PONDER: GUARD YOUR HEART 4/23/07
There are so many demands upon your life with
commitments and daily living. I understand that in your
need for rest it is easy to fall into unhealthy traps as
a way to unwind. Beloved it is important that you guard
your heart so that it does not grow apathetic with the
numbing ways of the world. Find healthy ways to DAILY
your nourish your body, mind, soul and spiritual life in
Me.
I promise that if you spend time to balance these needs
in your daily life, that your stress will be less and
your appetite for the world will fade away as Your flame
for our intimate relationship rekindles to passion.
Come My love and stir up the places that have settled
for compromise. Guard your heart and keep your flame
from growing dim. Do it all by remembering Me when
finding your balance and just the joy of relationship
will grant you the rest you need and kindle your heart
at the same time.
Prov 4:20-27 AMP
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my
sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them
in the center of your heart. For they are life to
those who find them, healing and health to all their
flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and
above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs
of life. Put away from you false and dishonest speech,
and willful and contrary talk put far from you. Let
your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let
your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the
path of your feet, and let all your ways be established
and ordered aright. Turn not aside to the right hand or
to the left; remove your foot from evil.
Matt 25:8-13 NLT
Then the five foolish ones asked the others, 'Please
give us some of your oil because our lamps are going
out.' But the others replied, 'We don't have enough for
all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.'
"But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom
came, and those who were ready went in with him to the
marriage feast, and the door was locked. Later, when
the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside,
calling, 'Sir, open the door for us!' But he called
back, 'I don't know you!' "So stay awake and be
prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my
return. |
