PRAYER
MEETING vision: 1/11/08 HOW LONG WAS JESUS ON THE
CROSS?
One of
our intercessors shared a vision. She saw God’s army
marching on their knees. They were each carrying a
cross on their back. Then she heard, “How long was
Jesus on the cross?” His answer was, “Until His flesh
died.”
Matt 10:38-39 NKJV
And he who does not take his cross and follow after
Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will
lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find
it.
Gal 5:19-26 NKJV
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are:
adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,
outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and
the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also
told you in time past, that those who practice such
things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness,
self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And
those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its
passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become
conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Phil 2:8 NKJV
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ
Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider
it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of
no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and
coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in
appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to the point of death, even the death of the
cross .
Rom 8:4-11 NKJV
For those who live according to the flesh set their
minds on the things of the flesh , but those who live
according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For
to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is
enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of
God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the
flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh
but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in
you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,
he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is
dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of
righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised
Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ
from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through His Spirit who dwells in you.

NOTE FROM SANDY: I felt this was a profound
vision that could be applied on many levels, including
prayer. However it is important that the readers
understand not to interpret this literally. Jesus
willingly gave up His Spirit before His flesh died, no
man took His life from Him. And He literally hung on the
cross for some time after His flesh died. |
