RHEMA 4/05/10 HOW TO GET RID OF
A BITTER ROOT
When people are unable to receive
their healings, gifts of the Spirit, hear God or feel
His Presence, often it is due to having a bitter root.
Here is a revelation the Lord gave me about getting rid
of a bitter root.
HEARD: A root of
bitterness. They tell 6 people and those people tell
6. It spreads so fast.
Heb
12:14-16 NKJV
Pursue
peace with all people, and holiness, without which no
one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone
fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many
become defiled...
pikria
NT:4088
pikria (pik-ree'-ah); from NT:4089; acridity (especially
poison), literally or figuratively:
KJV -
bitterness.
Being angry
and
Incubating
unforgiveness
Tastes like
acid in the soul.
Telling
others
Encourages
defilement,
Rejoicing in
revenge.
Eph 4:31-32 NKJV
Let all bitterness, wrath,
anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you,
with all malice. And be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in
Christ forgave you.
PRAYER: Lord we know how
to change our speech, behavior and forgive, so please
grant us the grace to do so. However we do not know how
to get rid of a bitter root. We ask that You will
remove the bitter roots so they never defile again, in
Jesus Name.

RHEMA 5/02/10 ANSWER TO PRAYER
ABOUT BITTER ROOTS
HEARD: Safe fellowship.
Can you set me right?
Thank you for your soul, no
thanks. Generations of broken hearts.
Matt
16:26-27
For
what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world,
and loses his own soul ? Or what will a man give in
exchange for his soul?
VISION: I saw a plate of roots and they looked
like separated tubers with knobs and woody. However
each one had tiny, moving white roots that were the size
of threads growing out of the tubers. I knew
immediately that they were bitter roots. As I watched
the white threads moving, I realized they were alive.
Heb
12:14-16 NKJV
Pursue
peace with all people, and holiness, without which no
one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone
fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of
bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many
become defiled.
UPDATE 5/06/10
Scripture calls it a ROOT of bitterness and doesn’t
specifically call it a spirit. We have no instructions
on how to get rid of a root, except for correct behavior
which is to pursue peace and holiness with all people.
I started asking the Lord if there was any other way to
get rid of a root of bitterness, outside of
forgiving
and pursuing peace and holiness with people.
The
Lord answered my prayer. I had been wondering what the
meaning of the plate of roots meant as I was cleaning
out our fridge and found a bag of old lemons in the
back. They were in different levels of drying out and
shriveling up. When I saw them, I immediately
remembered the fig tree that Jesus cursed, and it DRIED
up at the roots. One of the job assignments of the Holy
Spirit is to bring His Words into remembrance. And when
we make connections with His Word, we receive peace. So
when He brings things into
remembrance, we can count on the fact that this
is one of the ways God speaks.
John 14:26-28 NKJV
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will
send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring
to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as
the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid.
REVELATION: I knew this was how we get rid of a
bitter root! We curse it and command it to shrivel up
in Jesus Name. Not only that, but when I looked up the
scripture speaking about it, removing mountains and
forgiving is in the same passage!
Mark 11:12-14
Now the next day, when they had come out from
Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing from afar a fig
tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would
find something on it. When He came to it, He found
nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14 In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit
from you ever again." And His disciples heard it.
Mark 11:20-26
Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw
the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 And Peter,
remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree
which You cursed has withered away." 22 So Jesus
answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. 23 For
assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not
doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he
says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you
pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have
them. "And whenever you stand praying, if you have
anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father
in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But
if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in
heaven forgive your trespasses." |
