HUMBLE YOURSELF
HEARD:
Having said it all, just rest.
HEARD:
Low bridge.
(Humility, bowing low.)
Job 22:25-30 NKJV
Yes, the Almighty
will be your gold and your precious silver; For then you
will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your
face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will
hear you, and you will pay your vows. You will also
declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So
light will shine on your ways. When they cast you down,
and you say, 'Exaltation will come!' Then He will save
the humble person. He will even deliver one who is not
innocent; Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of
your hands."
PARABLE:
As a child, I used to go with my family to some caves.
Whenever the guide would come to a place where you had
to duck, or bow low in order to pass through without
hitting your head, he would call out, “Low Bridge!”
Then each person when they came to that spot would call
out Low Bridge until all passed through safely.
It is a time of deep
humility, where the enemy has taken God’s people to the
court room of accusation. We overcome by the blood of
Jesus and by the Word of our testimony. It is a
humbling time where we speak God’s Word and how it
applies to our lives and hearts and then just bow low,
and rest. The scripture says, having done all, STAND.
Well, in this season, the Lord is saying, having done
all, Bow LOW and rest.
Rev 12:10-11 NKJV
Then I heard a loud
voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength,
and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ
have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused
them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word of their testimony, and they did not love their
lives to the death.
Phil 2:5-11 NKJV
Let this mind be in
you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the
form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal
with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the
form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of
men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled
Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even
the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly
exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every
name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those
under the earth, and that every tongue should confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Eph 4:1-3 NLT
Be humble and gentle
. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each
other's faults because of your love. Always keep
yourselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind
yourselves together with peace. |
