IN THE FEAR OF GOD
Most lives are busy walking to and fro.
We give ours to Abba that we might know.
We long to hear Him - as we endear Him.
And we do fear Him, He's a holy God.
Just one look from the Father's direction
Is enough for a lifetime of correction.
He is awesome and Mighty, He is power.
Supreme in His doings, yes, all do cower.
He is reigning most Sovereign over all.
Nothing escapes Him and nothing does fall
Without His knowledge, without His grand plan,
As we try escaping being mere men.
Humanity puffs up without knowledge of Him
Vanity and blindness put us out on a limb.
But He is so merciful to love us at best.
He gave us Jesus Christ to do all the rest.
It's by grace that we come. And grace that we stand.
By grace we receive and follow His commands.
To be a member of His family - to rule and to reign,
To really know the concept - we would never live the
same.
Who is this God man Who came in the flesh?
He was Jesus Christ the Son Who gave us His best.
The Father chose to multiply Jesus' sacrifice for all,
His blood pouring from His veins redeems Adam's fall.
For in the fall of Adam, all men truly died.
But through the gift of Jesus Who was crucified,
We were brought back to living from among the dead.
Set free from sinning to embrace His love instead.
Now we are raised and resurrected with Him,
With joy in His cup it is filled to the rim.
He was firstborn among many brothers.
Soon this, the earth, will be filled with others
Just like Jesus Who laid down His life,
Many will be laying down their strife.
They will love in word and deed it is true.
They will die for their belief, for Who they knew.
We'll swallow His cup with our hearts at rest.
All that matters to us is to lay on His chest,
Laying everything down to give Him the glory,
Willingly sharing to sacrifice our story.
To the One we do love our yearning hearts will sing.
For the One we love we will sell everything.
Rom 8:20 NKJV
For I consider that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which
shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of
the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons
of God. |
