RHEMA 9/25/08: INTERCESSION OVER SEPARATION IN GOD’S
HOUSE
INTERCESSORY DREAM: I had a very moving dream of
intercession. I walked into a church, but entered onto
the stage door behind the podium. There was a
congregation of chairs and pews on stage and they were
looking out into the audience. The audience was
sparingly filled with about 1/3 of the seats taken and
the audience room was much wider and larger than the
podium. But there were walls on each side of the stage
so you could not see out to the full size of the room.
Even worse was the gigantic podium. It was so massive
that the congregation on stage could not see past it.
There was a short row of about 4 men who were sitting at
the front of the stage next to the podium, so that side
was completely taken and unable to see out. I had to go
to the far right of the stage and quietly peer out past
the wall to see how many people were there and the lay
out of the room.
Then I turned around to find a place with the
congregation on the stage and I saw there were also 2
fellowship halls directly connected to the stage, that
had glass fronts. The first room was full of Spanish
speaking people. The room was jammed packed and they
were worshipping the Lord even though they had no
instruments. Then I walked into the next room also
adjoining the stage, and it was full of black people.
There was a small upright piano facing the back wall and
all the people were facing towards it.
There was a small room of dancing women behind the piano
and I politely asked if I could talk to one of them.
She was kind and I asked her why are all these people
separated into rooms and not joined with one another in
the large room? She said matter of factly, “Oh yes,
that tells us we are women and in our places.” I
realized that she felt inferior.
Still in the dream I burst out in intercessory prayer,
exclaiming, “Lord there are all these people who are SO
hungry for You, for fellowship, to find a church, to
express their gifts and they have no shepherd, no
instruments and no room! Each of these are overcomers
who have even made it through the church walls and each
one knows scores of others who fell on their way and can
not make it to even find a church!”
I was overcome with intercession and tears because I saw
God’s heart for them. He had deposited within each
person His unique gifts and yet because of the walls
that were in their hearts, mindsets and the way the
church was built, they could not come into the their
rich giftedness because they had no room and no shepherd
to help facilitate this. I wept over them and longed
for them to come into their places. I realized that
most of the congregation to this “church” was all
stuffed behind the podium, the stage and were not being
released into their gifts and functions. When I looked
at the whole building of people, I knew that together
they had the instruments, gifts and ability to function
as a thriving community. And yet separated as they
were, they were surviving.

God commands a
blessing wherever there is unity. He is desiring
greater merging of His people into one body, one heart,
one mind, one Spirit.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren
to dwell together in unity !
It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running
down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on
the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the
LORD commanded the blessing — Life forevermore.

to walk worthy of the calling with which you were
called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with
longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond
of peace. There is one body and one Spirit , just as you
were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one
faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is
