INTIMACY WHEN WALKING THROUGH DEATH TO SELF  2/19/09

Confirmation 2/19/09:  Today I wrote the following about knowing Him more intimately when we go through death to self:

“I believe in God’s ability to keep each individual person, (regardless of their captive environment) and train them on an individual basis directly in proportion to their willingness or resistance to Him.  I believe that training hurts to the exact degree we resist Him.  I believe in the miracle of God to keep His own in such an intimate, tender and loving place that even though getting spanked is extremely painful, the intimacy of being in His loving arms through the process makes it a bittersweet experience that only true love can bring.  The end result is peace with God.”

... and then turned to the following Word to Ponder excerpt on my pocket PC when in the car:

I will make manifest the lessons you learned that could not have been learned in other ways.  You will find that you knew Me in greater intimacy through your sufferings and have learned a portion of My love that is long suffering.  You will find that you knew My goodness and abundance even in the midst of painful labor.

CONFIRMATION UPDATE KATHRYN KUHLMAN   2/22/09

Today was the day I posted the Most Serious Warnings I Have Ever Read, that came from the prophets in successive order.  I watched Kathryn Kuhlman tonight on God TV.  I was really touched because I felt the timing of it was amazing, as though the Lord had her give that message and then saved it as a NOW Word for what we are facing in the way of concern for potential tragedies in the warnings today.

The following are her Words left for us for posterity. I feel very honored to have been given this as from her heart to us in another generation, and to type this onto the internet on her and the Lord’s behalf. 

Her story was about a family that lost all 6 kids to a flood and the sorrow they faced in the disaster. They later started an orphanage in Calcuta. 

QUOTED FROM KATHRYN KUHLMAN

“Though the best has been taken from us, thanks be unto God.  Six children, side by side, swept away in just a matter of hours.  Thanks be unto God which gives us the victory.  And they {the parents} went back to Calcutta which is today the largest orphans home in India...”

{Then she talks about visiting the orphanage.}

“I recognized the Presence of the Master Himself.  I was conscience of the Presence of the Father Who gives you and gives me the victory through His only begotten Son.  And I wondered as I walked from one child to another, if in the hour of sorrow if I could turn my sorrow into victory.  And I realized that I couldn’t do it to myself.  I couldn’t.  But I knew that there was One, the Master Himself Who would give me the courage and give me the faith... When the waters were so deep and they were about to overflow. 

Do you know what I am talking about?  It isn’t what happens to you that is so important, its what you have left after it happens.  It isn’t the disaster, it isn’t what happens to you that is the important thing.  Its what you do with that thing after it happens. 

I walked a mile with pleasure

And she chattered all the way.

And then she left me none the wiser for all she had to say.

But one day I walked a mile with sorrow

And not one word said she.

But oh the things I learned that day

When sorrow walked with me.

I know - I’ve been through the deep waters.  I’ve been through the starless nights.  And so have you.  And if you are a part of humanity, there will be those deep waters.  Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow.  There’ll be those starless nights when you feel that there is no soul in the world that cares.  And sometimes you’ll even wonder if maybe God made a mistake.  But He’ll never let you down, you’ll know no defeat in Christ Jesus. 

It’s what you DO with that trouble, it’s what you DO when that disaster comes.  It’s what you have left and what you do with it, that makes all the difference in the world!”

I cried when I finished typing this.  It is as though Kathryn and the entire cloud of witnesses were saying, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.  WE ARE WITH YOU AND UNDERSTAND.  WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU AND YOU WILL OVERCOME BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB!

1 Cor 15:53-58

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory ."  "O  Death, where is your sting?   O Hades, where is your victory ?" The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.   Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
