JONAH, THE VACATION FISH

Today I was thinking about God’s grace and how people can not walk in obedience without His grace to help in the process.

HEARD: Commitment.

CONFIRMATION: A few minutes later I turned on an old tape from where I had stopped the last time. It was Bob Jones saying, "Great grace. And all it’s going to take is great commitment on our part. A lot of people are like Jonah running from God. A lot of shaking in this nation is to shake you out of the world and you think it is the enemy coming at you. But it isn’t, it’s God. To bring you to your senses. Jonah was one stubborn prophet. He was in that belly until he repented. He wanted to go on a vacation, on his own trip. He had things he wanted to do. But when he said, "Lord I am ready to obey you now," that fish spit him out. And a city got saved. I believe this is what He is doing to the body of Christ now. It is time to get sincere."

HEARD: I scheduled a break for you coming up. Cabin fever.

DREAM: I was working on my rhema at the computer. The phone wire was wrapped around the fish bowl. Suddenly the fish goes crazy and erratic and going in every direction. I had the feeling that he just wanted out! Suddenly he comes straight towards me, bumps the phone wire with his nose, then flies out of the bowl past my shoulder and plops onto the floor. I got up to go get a tiny glass to scoop him up.

As I went to get him, I saw him wiggle under an oyster like shell to try and hide. I picked up the shell to scoop him into the glass and he was about 8 inches long, not the tiny 2 inches that he appeared in the bowl. I realized that his little bowl had disguised his actual size, due to the warping of the water, etc. He needed a new and much larger bowl. The little cup I had obviously wouldn’t work. As I was thinking this, suddenly the fish takes another flying leap and lands right back into the bowl.

HEARD: You need a new tank!

WORD TO PONDER: GRACE TO MAKE A COMMITMENT

Loved one, I am giving you grace to stop your running and turn to Me. I am giving you grace to overcome all torments of soul and body. I am giving you grace to make a commitment to humble yourself and become obedient to your conscience and follow Me.

I have called and chosen you as My holy vessel. I know it is hard to die to self, but My grace is greater and I will help you through this. You have wonderful promotions coming in your relationship with Me, if you are willing to return to your resting place and stop running from your calling.

"Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." (Zech 4:7 KJV)
