JACOB'S LADDER THE PORTHOLE TO
HEAVEN 4/22/11
VISION: I saw a reoccurring vision this week
and saw it again last night. It is a ladder going to
heaven. It is very steep and goes way, way up and is
well lit.
HEARD: You are on this ladder.
Rev 4:1
After these things I looked, and behold, a door
standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I
heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come
up here, and I will show you things which must take
place after this."
Rev 11:12-13
And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to
them, "Come up here." And they ascended to heaven in a
cloud, and their enemies saw them.
The Word
"Porthole" is scriptural, both in the OT and
NT:
Gen
28:12-17
Then he
dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on
the earth, and its top reached to heaven;
and there the angels of God were ascending
and descending on it. 13 And behold, the
Lord stood above it and said: "I am the Lord
God of Abraham your father and the God of
Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give
to you and your descendants. 14 Also your
descendants shall be as the dust of the
earth; you shall spread abroad to the west
and the east, to the north and the south;
and in you and in your seed all the families
of the earth shall be blessed. 15 Behold, I
am with you and will keep you wherever you
go, and will bring you back to this land;
for I will not leave you until I have done
what I have spoken to you." 16 Then Jacob
awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the
Lord is in this place, and I did not know
it." 17 And he was afraid and said, "How
awesome is this place! This is none other
than the house of God, and this is the gate
{8179} of heaven!"
OT:8179 DOOR
OR GATE
sha`ar
(shah'-ar); from OT:8176 in its original
sense; an opening, i.e. door or gate:
KJV - city,
door, gate, port (X -er).
Rev 4:1
After
these things I looked, and behold, a door
{2374} standing open in heaven. And the
first voice which I heard was like a trumpet
speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and
I will show you things which must take place
after this."
NT:2374
PORTAL OR ENTRANCE
NT:2374 thura
(thoo'-rah); apparently a primary word
[compare "door"]; a portal or entrance (the
opening or the closure, literally or
figuratively):
KJV - door,
gate. |
JESUS IS THE PORTHOLE
John 1:50-51
Jesus answered and said to him, "Because
I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig
tree,' do you believe? You will see greater
things than these." And He said to him,
"Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you
shall see heaven open, and the angels of God
ascending
and descending upon the Son of Man."

INSERT VISIONS OF THE LADDER
MERLIN CAROTHERS VISION
http://www.foundationofpraise.org/
From the book Prison to Praise
"I saw a beautiful, bright summer day. The air was
filled with light, and I had a sense of everything being
very beautiful. Up above was a heavy, solid black cloud
beyond which nothing could be seen. A ladder extended
from the ground up into the black cloud. At the base of
the ladder were hundreds of people trying to get a
chance at climbing the ladder. They had heard that
above the blackness there was something more beautiful
than anything a human eye had ever seen, something that
brought unbelievable joy to those who reached it. As a
person after person tried to ascend they quickly climbed
to the lower edge of the clouds. The crowd watched to
see what would happen.
In a short while the person would come wildly sliding
down the ladder and fall into the crowd scattering
people in all directions. They reported that once they
got into the blackness they lost all sense of direction.
My time finally came, and as I made my way up the ladder
into the blackness it grew so intense that I could feel
its power nearly forcing me to give up and slide back.
But step by step I continued upward until suddenly my
eyes beheld the most intense brightness I had ever
seen. It was a brilliant whiteness to glorious to
describe in words. As I came out above the dark cloud I
realized that I could walk on top of it. As I looked
into the brightness I was able to walk without
difficulty. When I looked down to examine the nature of
the cloud I immediately began to sink. Only by looking
at the brightness could I stay on top.
Then the scene changed and I was back looking at all
three levels from a distance.
"What does it all mean?" I asked, and the answer came:
"The brightest sunshine below the cloud is the light
that many Christians live in and accept as normal. The
ladder is the ladder of praising Me. Many try to climb
and learn to praise Me in all things. At first they are
very eager, but when they get into things that they
don't understand they become confused and cannot hold
on. They lose faith and go sliding back. As they fall,
they injure other people who have been hoping to find a
way to live in continual joy and praise.
"Those who make it through those difficult times reach a
new world and realize that the life they once thought of
as normal cannot be compared to the life I have prepared
for those who praise Me and believe that I carefully
watch over them. He who reached the light of the
heavenly kingdom can walk on top of difficulties no
matter how dark they may seem as long as he keeps his
eyes off the problem and on My victory in Christ. No
matter how difficult it may seem to trust Me to work in
every detail of your life, keep clinging to the ladder
of praise and move upwards!"

EXCERPT ANNA ROUNDTREE'S VISION
From the book Heaven Awaits the Bridge
{Anna had seen a 60 story battering ram crushing and
rolling over people and breaking through the wall called
THE CHURCH, into the city and leaving only debris. She
was later told that the living stones of Christ's true
church were safe, having either climbed the stairway,
hidden in saves or floated on the water.}
"Suddenly an angel began to fly beside me.
"Where can I hide from the battering ram?" I shouted as
I ran.
"The battering ram rolls relentlessly over all the earth
now. Up high," the angel said, {up higher than it can
see is the only safe place. Let me show you."
With a wave of the angel's hands, a stairway appeared,
touching the earth and reaching beyond my view into
heaven. I moved in the base of the stairs and looked
up. I was still heaving from running.
The angel flew beside the stairs, higher than its base
on Earth, and waved me upward: "Come on!" the angel
shouted. "The ram is coming, and we don't want him to
see this stairway. Come on!"
There were no hand rails on the narrow stairs. The
stairs were clear like glass, which can be slippery. I
could hear the batter ram rolling: "Faster! the angel
called.
I kept my eyes on the stairs. In his hands the angel
had a scarlet cord fastened to the stairs at the
bottom. I could hear the battering ram getting closer,
but the angel pulled the cord and brought up the first
section of the stairway, like attic stairs that can be
lowered and raised.
"Hurry!" the angel urged. I continued to run up the
steps, breathless. The angel pulled the thin rope, and
another section of the stairs rose.
"Keep climbing," the angel said, although now his tone
of voice was less urgent.
With a mighty effort, I completed the stairs and turned
to make sure I had indeed escaped. The battering ram
was directly below, rolling beneath us as the third
section of the stairs was pulled up.
"You were safe after climbing the second set of stairs;
but to be really sure, you needed to pass the third" he
said.
Eph 1:21
far above all principality and power and might and
dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this
age but also in that which is to come.
As the battering ram rolled past, I tried to catch my
breath and settle myself. Only then did I look around.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"Paradise," the angel smiled, as he tied the cord
holding the stairs to a docking post. A sign above the
post read STAIRPORT.
I looked out over the most beautiful park I had ever
seen. There were gentle rolling hills, bed so subtly
colored flowers and grass as uniform and green as the
rolled lawns of English manor houses. A walking path
crossed this part of the park. There were also quiet
pools, a stream, and luxuriant trees that on Earth would
have provided shade, but there was no shade or any
shadows here. A soft light emanated from everything
growing."
Anna shares as a sidebar: "The area where one arrives
first when entering heaven is called Paradise. One then
move to the celestial city - the heavenly Jerusalem -
and finally to the throne of God the Father."
Heb 12:22-24
But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of
the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an
innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general
assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered
in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of
just men made perfect,
Another sidebar: Anna said the word Paradise means
"park or garden." The Father designed the true Garden
of Eden there especially for the Lord Jesus (song of Sol
5:1; 62:2; Ezek 28:13) In His garden the original tree
of life still grows. (Rev 2:7)

STEVEN SHELLY'S EXPERIENCE: CLIMBING A LADDER
Written by Nancy Bergen
http://www.revivalglory.org/update_from_jerusalem_archive.jsp
May 9, 2006
About two weeks later, after spending his birthday
(April 28) in Jerusalem for the first time, Pastor
Shelley retired for the night and had an unusual and
awesome divine experience. He was suddenly awakened to
see a very, very large angel standing at the foot of his
bed. When he reached over to try and arouse his wife,
his arm became paralyzed and he was unable to touch her.
Then he looked up and saw the white bedroom ceiling
disappear as well as the roof. Only the night sky was
overhead with the stars shining.
Then he was moved out of the bed and up into the air in
a very unusual way - like flying. He was still wide
awake and could see our neighborhood with its shops as
he was being lifted higher and higher. Suddenly he came
to a beautiful ladder with angels ascending and
descending on it. The ladder was suspended somewhere
between the old city of Jerusalem and the new city. He
joined the line of ascending angels and effortlessly
climbed the ladder.
Pastor Shelley then came to a realm of heaven where
classes were being held. A multitude of angels were
being taught by mortal men from past church ages that
had gone into the Presence of the Lord. They were
teaching these angels about the difficulty of life on
the earth and the importance of the overcoming
anointing. He was told by an angel that the overcomers
from past ages were preparing the angels for what is
ahead. These angels were being given instructions of
where to go and what needed to be done. They were to
bring breakthroughs, miracles, deliverances, etc.
One of the special purposes of these coming angels will
be to announce destiny. They will reveal to each
believer the fullness of his own destiny and will
instruct each one as to what should be his next step.

VICTORIA
Nasworthy's VISION
From the book, 6 Big, Big Angels.
Victoria Hanna-Rene Nasworthy
http://www.6bigangels.com/
At the age of 4/5 Victoria's life was spared and she was
taken to heaven and become a child seer. The following
was written by her grandmother as Victoria described
seeing the ladder to heaven.
"She was about to describe passing the clouds and clue
sky on the way up. She told us that on the way to
heaven, "We passed all the things I like. We passed the
trees... the birds. all the clouds, the blue sky, and
even the stars."
She saw the earth getting smaller and smaller. She said
it look like a little ball as she went up higher. We
asked her if the sky was black after she passed the blue
part. She looked at us as though we had lost our
minds. She said emphatically, "No! Thur was lots and
lots of angels and it was light. Thur was a stairway to
heaven and thus was angels all the way up to heaven."
We believe this to be a protective corridor of angels to
keep her safe while going through satan's territory on
the way to heaven. We asked her how high up she had to
go to get to heaven. She told us that God's house is,
"way, way, way high."
{End Victoria's quote}
PRAYER: Lord we earnestly ask that You will give
us eyes to look UP and not down at our circumstances.
Keep us from falling Lord, let us not get discouraged,
lose our balance or our focus. We have heard Your call
to come up here and we so deeply want to come and be
shown the things that are taking place. Grant us Your
grace to climb up and leave the world's focus and
allurement behind. Bid us oh Lord, and draw us to Your
home. Heaven here we come!
Rev 4:1
After these things I looked, and behold, a door
standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I
heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come
up here, and I will show you things which must take
place after this."
