LESSONS FROM DEMONIC DISTRACTION

STRONG WORSHIP MANIFESTS STRONG DEMONS

A few years ago the Lord told me He was taking me through some necessary training, when a warlock was sent as a demonic plant into our church. He approached the leadership with the story that he had been kicked out of the church he had been attending, and it was almost as though our church was his last resort. The church I was attending at the time was heavy into grace (unfortunately without discipline) and so it seemed like the perfect place for him to "plant."

The first time he attended our service, the power of God came exceptionally strong. I was on the worship team, and was acquainted with His Presence being quite strong on the platform. But this day, it was exceptionally awesome, with waves and waves of His Presence as we worshipped Him with an increasing climax.

Towards the end of worship, those who wanted prayer were invited to come forward while we continued to worship. This fellow came forward. Just as one of our elders reached out to touch him, he saw a claw like hand so he rebuked the demon. The demon manifested in the fellow and began shouting obscenities also pulling his arm back to punch the elder. The elder caught the arm and began binding the spirit. With music in the background, most everyone in the place began binding the devil and commanding the spirit to let the fellow go. He vomited out several demonic nests on the carpet. This certainly made a stir. I can not remember the rest of the service. I doubt if anyone else could either. The thing that I learned from that service was that when the power of God is really strong like that, the demons manifest.

HIS GRACE ABOUNDS

The next thing I learned became a monument in my faith. This fellow began attending home meetings. By this time, everyone knew he was a warlock who confessed that he wanted to be a Christian. It became quite apparent to myself and others who had been attending the meetings, that when this "fellow" attended, the Lord's Presence was exceptionally strong. Of course, with everyone's guard up, they were praying more in tongues, and pressing into the Lord. I began to pray about this increase of the Lord's Presence, and He gave me this scripture:

Rom 5:20 KJV

But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

The Lord told us through experience that His Presence would abound when we were in the presence of our enemies. We could anticipate that when the enemy comes in like a flood, that we can expect the Lord to raise up a standard of His Spirit against him. This was a wonderful comfort and encouragement.

Isa 59:19 KJV

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

CHANGE OF FOCUS

However, true to form, as we would begin to worship and pray at home meetings, the fellow would manifest and the meetings were turning into deliverance sessions, just to keep the peace. Those who were opening their homes to meetings did not want their children exposed. Some of the children began having demonic visitations at night. The meetings continued to center around this fellow in one way or another, with everyone trying to "help." Meetings began to derail.

The lesson I learned from this is that the enemy loves warfare. He will do anything he can to get our attention off of the Lord and away from worshipping Him. The enemy is very jealous and wants to be worshipped!

PASSING THROUGH

This fellow did not stay long with us and eventually ended up in prison, (since he never did stop taking drugs). When he got out, he did not return to church, but to the coven.

After he left, 2 more came with the same manifestations and attempts to change the focus of the meetings. There were many lessons the leaders learned about demonic plants and the importance of boundaries for deliverance in the Sunday services and home meetings. Personally I think the most important lesson was the warning to be prepared and to seek the Lord for a plan.

UPDATE MAY 2005: I attended a conference and one of the things they said was that the warlocks were attending their meetings and waiting until the end of the prayer lines to go get prayer. This was when the minister's had less discernment and were tired. The warlocks were getting deliverance from their demons in order to make room for a "promotion" of 7 stronger demons to enter.

WORD TO PONDER: CLOSING THE DOOR TO DISTRACTION

A wave of new believers is coming, whose lives are plundered through sin, sickness and demonic ruin. You will find witches and warlocks, converts from other religions, drug addicts, prostitutes, thieves, sexual criminals, new agers, gays and lesbians, pedophiles, alcoholics, and addictions of all kinds. They will bring all their demons and distractions with them.

My supernatural Presence shall be so strong, that it shall spontaneously deliver some of My prodigal children. These will be precious jewels whom I have plucked out of the fires of hell. You will recognize them as you love them and watch their lives bloom and change under the water of My loving Presence. They shall grow and blossom with good fruits and willing hearts. They will be very passionate to change and grow and to know Me.

Others will be demonic wolves and goats sent as enemy plants to be a distraction from My purposes and to wear down the saints. They will not change. They will argue and rationalize their way through their rebellions. They will live an endless cycle of returning to their rebellious past and then coming again for brief times of confession and repentance. You shall know them by their fruits. Where is their focus? Is it on their past or on Me, the One Who gives them a new beginning with a future and a hope? And as they struggle, where is YOUR focus? Are they pulling you into their mire and their focus? Or are you pressing into My glory, pointing the way towards Me, knowing those whose hearts are truly turned toward Me will follow?

Remember, that regardless of whether others are sincere or not, I chose to shed My blood for every person. I chose to love them whether they ever love Me in return. So it is for you, that you learn to love regardless of the outcome.

"And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
