MAINTAIN
YOUR HOME GROUND
This
week I called upon intercessors for prayer that the Lord
would turn the opposing winds and move them behind us to
propel us forward. Since then, I have experienced that
sudden thrust that what was a standstill is now
propelled. Now, I suddenly find myself overwhelmed with
new doors, and in need of delegating things to more
people. It is quite a trade off I must say! And so
suddenly!!!
In that
light, I feel quickened to share something the Lord has
impressed upon me, just prior to this sudden thrust.
Since February He has been talking to me about
foundations. He reminded me of the old board game called
Risk, where you move out and occupy increased
boundaries. The risk in that game is, if you put all
your army in occupying and stretching forth, and don't
cover your home territory, it leaves you vulnerable.
He has
really impressed upon me the wisdom in "Maintaining what
I have obtained." Now that I am experiencing a lot of
new doors opening I feel the strong admonition to fight
to keep the foundations He has engraved in my life, and
not lose an inch of them while I am stretching forth and
taking new places. A few weeks ago He asked me to
reassess and label what I felt were my foundations. It
was an important process which led to the place where I
am now.

WORD TO
PONDER: MAINTAIN YOUR HOME GROUND
When I
send you forth to move out and occupy increased
boundaries of influence, authority, and responsibility,
it is important you take assessment of the boundaries I
have thoroughly marked in your life. Know their
importance and prioritize them.
The risk
is if you put all your energy into occupying and don't
cover your home territory, it leaves you vulnerable to
losing what you have obtained. Maintain it and fight if
you must, to keep the foundations I have engraved in
your life. Do not lose an inch of them while you are
stretching forth and taking new places. Stay disciplined
with a watchful eye on your home ground so nothing is
allowed to be plundered.
NKJ 1
Samuel 30:1-3
Now it
happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the
third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and
Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had
taken captive the women and those who were there, from
small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried
them away and went their way. So David and his men came
to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and
their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been
taken captive.
