RHEMA 2/24/08 MAKING THE BEST CHOICE IN A WORLD OF
CHOICES
PRAYER: Lord please speak to me tonight. Please
feed my children Lord, feed them all.
HEARD: Precious one, you dont have to worry.
I have it all under My control. Don’t need to worry!
Bless this day our daily bread.
Matt 6:9-11 NKJV
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your
kingdom come.
Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread .
EXCERPT RHEMA 2/23/08 WOULD RATHER HAVE BREAD
VISION: I turned onto one of the Albertson’s
grocery store isles and I saw a very tall smiling
angel. He was looking at some pancake syrup in front of
the pancake shelf and wanted to know what I had to say
about the syrup. I said, “No thank you, I would rather
have bread!”
COMMENTS: Pancakes and syrup are a thing of my
past life. With little nutrition, they gave me high
energy and then brought me crashing low. I have to watch
my carbohydrate count as I deal with keeping my blood
sugar on a level keel, so now when I choose my carbs I
choose my favorites that I will really enjoy but also
help me feel the best afterwards and be healthier for
me. For all my trying, I am actually dieting just to
keep from gaining weight, and I am overweight. I wait on
the Lord to heal my life that has been plundered by
eating too much sugar, diets and illness that has
effected my muscles and metabolism.
John 6:32-36 NKJV
Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to
you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but
My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For
the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and
gives life to the world." 34 Then they said to Him,
"Lord, give us this bread always." 35 And Jesus said to
them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall
never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never
thirst.
HEARD: Best-a-mony.
Seeing things
differently now. It’s a change. All things are not
expedient. So choose the best. B vitamins.
1 Cor 6:12-20 NKJV
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not
helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be
brought under the power of any. 13 Foods for the stomach
and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it
and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but
for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14 And God both
raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His
power.15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of
Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make
them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you
not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body
with her? For "the two," He says, "shall become one
flesh." 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one
spirit with Him. 18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin
that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits
sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do
you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy
Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you
are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price;
therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit,
which are God's.
PIX: I saw a bunch of hot sauce packets in
the bottom of a Taco Bell to-go bag.
Heard:
Trade in the old for the new.
New position,
backbone. The will to say no and make the right choice.
CONFIRMATION QUICKENED EYE GLANCE: Right after
hearing the above about hot sauce, and not having any
idea what it meant, I wondered what Spelt bread was
because that is the bread I recently found that is so
good. So I looked it up on google. I had a quickened
eye glance on the advertisement on the right. It was a
picture of a Taco Bell soft taco. Since I had just seen
the vision of the Taco Bell hot sauce packets, I clicked
on it wondering if there was a Word from the Lord. I
had never heard or seen this ad before. (I can see Him
smiling! He loves to leave these pre-knowledge bread
crumbs in our road, Him already having known our journey
and the choices we will make! He knew I would wonder
what Spelt bread was and knew the advertisement on that
page. Happy smiles.)
QUICKENED QUOTES FROM ADVERTISEMENT: Taco Bell’s
ad on Google reads:
“It’s Your Choice. Living life to the fullness is about
making great choices..”
“Play the ‘It’s Your Choice’ Game...”
“Sometimes we must choose between things that look or
sound similar, but they’re actually very different.
“It’s Your Choice” game is a fun exercise in making life
choices.”
{end quotes from Ad}
EXPERIENCE AND PARABLE: I had heard the Lord
already say, “The will to say no and make the right
choice” so I was excited to click and play the
game. Maybe He had more to say! It had a series of 2
pictures, each showed healthy choices and less healthy
choices. WOW WHAT A GREAT WORD PARABLE. The following
were photo choices in the game.
-
Do I want
fresh fruit or fruit cake?
-
Do I want
a walking machine or a slot machine?
-
Do I want
to wear running shoes or high heals?
-
Do I want
a Taco Bell soft taco or a cheeseburger?
SPIRITUAL APPLICATION/ INTERPRETATION:
-
Do I want
fresh, living fruit from His vine or do I want
canned fruit that has no vitamins and perhaps a
counterfeit of the real?
John 15:4 NKJV
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine , neither
can you, unless you abide in Me.
-
Do I want
to walk in exercising my godly conscience every day
or do I want to gamble with my conscience and see if
I can outsmart it and still win?
Acts 24:16 KJV
And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a
conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
-
Do I want
to run God’s race of humble servanthood or do I want
to exalt myself higher than I really am and place
myself higher than others?
Phil 2:3-4 NKJV
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or
conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others
better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only
for his own interests, but also for the interests of
others.
-
Do I want
the red hot passion of hearing God, or do I want to
play sour pickles and catching up (Ketsup) with
those who are red hot for God?
Matt 24:12-13 NLT
Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many
will grow cold.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... questions to ponder!
WORD TO PONDER: MAKING THE BEST CHOICE IN A WORLD OF
CHOICES 2/24/08
My beloved, I AM teaching you that outside of scriptural
sin, even though what is not sin is lawful, not all
things are helpful for you nor will they build you up.
In a world full of choices, it is always better to
choose the BEST choice.
I will give you daily bread for your sustenance. Part
of your daily bread is the fruit of My Spirit called
temperance. You can never have enough self discipline,
there is no law against it. I AM teaching you to trade
in your old life and exchange it for something new.
This is a new position in Me. It is a position with a
strong will and backbone to say no to yourself, no to
the world and no to all that is not the right choice.
Better yet, beloved one, is the will to make the BEST
choice. You are well educated, you already know the
best choices for your life. Eat My will now, and live
in My best choice for you.
1 Cor 10:23 AMP
All things are legitimate [permissible — and we are
free to do anything we please], but not all things are
helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All
things are legitimate, but not all things are
constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual
life].
1 Cor 3:16 NKJV
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and
that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Gal 5:22-23 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
