The Lord gave me a parable to teach me to make the Lord
my trust.
EXPERIENCE:
While I stayed in the kitchen with my son and daughter
one night, my son (5 yrs old) held something good the
kids loved to eat in his hands, I saw that my daughter
(2 yrs old) wanted to have it badly, I saw her approach
her brother and ask his brother to give some to her to
eat. She asked earnestly somehow my son didn’t want to
lose the food he loved then I saw my daughter cried
bitterly. When I saw what happened between them, I felt
grieved and said to myself “why you begged your brother,
not asked of me for what you wanted? if you asked of me,
I would give it to you quickly.” Later on I went to the
freezer to get the food that my daughter wanted to have.
It was at that moment I thought of the following:
Many times as the children of the Lord, we are like my
daughter when we are in need, we badly want the help
from man but we forget that our Lord is there and ready
to help us. When we only beg the man for help and forget
the Lord, we grieve the heart of the Lord.
Dear brothers and sisters, no matter what our needs are,
come boldly to His throne of grace to find mercy and
ever present help. When we make the Lord our trust in
all situations, our trust honors the Lord.
“This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who
trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and
whose heart turns away from the LORD. He will be like a
bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when
it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the
desert, in a salt land where no one lives. "But blessed
is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is
in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that
sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when
heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no
worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear
fruit." (Jeremiah 17:5-8)
