RHEMA 11/15/11 DUTY OR PASSION: MASTER & HUSBAND,
MARTHA & MARY
HEARD: Keep My Words in your heart. Ponder
them. She must be a driven person or she would make a
good wife.
Luke 10:38-42 NKJV
Now it happened as they went that He entered a
certain village; and a certain woman named Martha
welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister
called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His
word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving,
and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care
that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore
tell her to help me." 41 And Jesus answered and said to
her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about
many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has
chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from
her."
DUTY OR PASSION:
In this season, the Lord has been speaking to me about
duty in my relationship with Him, much like Hosea 2:16,
the difference between knowing Him as Master vs
Husband. I have been faithful to perform the duties in
my calling as an intercessor, deliverer and scribe.
When a wife marries and has His children (callings,
etc), often the husband gives his wife over to raise the
children and much of her work ethic becomes task
oriented and duty bound and the husband takes the back
seat. This is true of many in ministry.
Hosea 2:14 is a place the church has been since the late
90's, possibly 97. We are now in verse 15, interceding
and pressing towards vs 16. (This whole issue delves
deeper into the aspect of religion vs relationship, as
well as the counterfeit vs genuine Holy Spirit and
gifts.)
Hos 2:14-16 NKJV
14 'Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Will bring
her into the wilderness, And speak comfort to her. 15 I
will give her her vineyards from there, And the Valley
of Achor as a door of hope; She shall sing there, As in
the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up
from the land of Egypt. 16 "And it shall be, in that
day," Says the Lord, "That you will call Me 'My
Husband,' And no longer call Me 'My Master.'
On a deeper le/el, when a
person performs out of duty, they are NOT grateful for
whatever they are duty bound over. And they certainly
dont want to encourage it unless they are driven by
performance.

"...Martha, you’re going to have to go beyond your
responsibility, and not just with the dishes. If you
can’t lay down the responsibilities for a while, you
will miss the moment, and you won’t be able to go beyond
into the whole season.”
Similarly, He is saying to us, “You’re going to have to
go beyond the responsibility you have for your kids, for
your house, for your business. You’re going to have to
come on in at the right moment and hear Me, because I’m
going to give you marching orders over how to be
responsible in the next season.” Some of us have great
responsibilities, inside and outside of the house, but
at certain times He says, “If you don’t get beyond your
day-to-day responsibilities, you will miss what I’m
saying. You might be the key to what I am saying and
whom I’m saying it to!..”

"We once were a barren wilderness, dead and dry. Our
lives didn't simply wander in a wilderness, we WERE a
wilderness to the Lord. But then, grace made a Rose to
blossom in the desert. Christ came in and watered our
souls. Now we are a garden, bearing fruit and bringing
Him pleasure. Eden's paradise is within you, and i...t
