~ my battle is not against my brother ~
Oh Lord, have mercy on my
soul!
The words of man have taken
its toll.
I will run to You, the One
Who speaks truth.
Trusting You to make me
whole.
I am not able to heal the pain
My heart is weak, my soul is
lame.
I will lean upon You, the One
Who is true.
As I release my sorrow and
defame.
For there is not a soul on
earth
Who is innocent for sure.
We all have missed Your
glorious mark
As we gaze upon Your face so
pure.
Let us love one another and
lay down our swords
Keep us from falling among
the great hordes
Of demonic devices and
perversions so gross
Let us win the battles with
Your love so close.
United in purpose with hearts
on fire
Leaning upon Your bosom, let
us not grow tired.
We need one another to form a
holy shield
To stand for our brother, to
honor and to yield.
Let our words be kind and
full of grace
As we respond in deed and a
loving face.
Have mercy on us, we are
sinners for sure
Pull out our tares and make
our hearts pure.
Come Holy Spirit, breathe new
life
Wash away the pain and
cleanse all strife.
No more cold blasts from
winter's harsh breath
Warm our souls, bring us back
from death.
So once again as I face a new
week
May the God of my battles,
the God Whom I seek
Bring peace to the storm and
calm the winds
As I peer in the distance and
look through His lens
At the glorious promise of
double portion joy
With belly laughs and giggles
and angels employed
To bring the harvest from our
tears and our pain
Come quickly Oh Lord and
bring us Your rain.
Acts 3:19-21 NKJV
Repent therefore and be
converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that
times of refreshing may come from the presence of the
Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was
preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until
the times of restoration of all things, which God has
spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the
world began. |
