I read this
Word to Ponder today and it was really quickened to me
as timely.
NEW SHOES
I am bringing you into new balance, having shod your
feet with the gospel of PEACE. You wont have to break in
these shoes, for they were created just for you. They
are not too tight, too narrow, and wont give you
blisters. Having bruised your heal in times of warfare,
I understand your reluctance stemming from seasons of
yesterday. You need not worry, beloved one, these new
balance shoes will cushion your heals and My peace will
be your perfect shock absorbers. They will comfort your
feet as you walk in My righteous paths. This new walk
will KEEP you in My righteous path and you will know
obedience as your friend. For My peace will be an umpire
to your soul, saying, “This is My way, walk in it.”
Phil 4:6-7 AMP
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in
every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and
petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving,
continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s
peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul
assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing
nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot
of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends
all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over
your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
A few days ago I watched several documentaries on ballet
shoes. How they are made, how they are broken in and how
they are used. I was amazed that such a world went on
behind a ballerina's life.
One of the titles was something about "on pointe" and I
sensed it was a term having to do with ballet. Then
yesterday when I was doing an errand I had a quickened eye
glance to a credit union called On Point. This is
definitely the Lord.
The whole idea of a ballet shoe is to create them so they
can stand on their toes. The tips of the shoes are layered
with multiple layers of canvas type fabric, so they are both
strong but also able to be cushioned. When a ballerina
stands on her toes, she is POINTING to the truth, standing
upon it. The truth is under her feet.
Lord as You call us to make a stand, give us strength and
grace to remain stable and strong as we stand upon Your Word
of Truth. in Jesus name.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through
your truth: your word is truth.
