WISDOM: OVERCOME REGRET BY CHANGING YOUR FUTURE
We each are given one moment, one second, one minute at
a time. We spend our minutes and then they are GONE.
It is impossible to bring all the circumstances and
environment together and re-create a moment in the
past. It was not meant to be that way. Living water
always moves forward. If it doesnt, then it stagnates
and pollutes.
There is only one way NOT to miss an opportunity... it
is to refuse to go through a door. Every open door has
opportunity to do good and find life, if we do good and
not evil.. We change our past by moving forward and
letting go of lost opportunities. We overcome regret by
making the choice to change our future.
2 Cor 7:10-11 AMP
For godly grief and the pain God is permitted to
direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes
to salvation and deliverance from evil, and it never
brings regret; but worldly grief (the hopeless sorrow
that is characteristic of the pagan world) is deadly
[breeding and ending in death]. 11 For [you can look
back now and] observe what this same godly sorrow has
done for you and has produced in you: what eagerness and
earnest care to explain and clear yourselves [of all
complicity in the condoning of incest], what indignation
[at the sin], what alarm, what yearning, what zeal [to
do justice to all concerned], what readiness to mete out
punishment [to the offender]! At every point you have
proved yourselves cleared and guiltless in the matter.
[1 Cor 5.]
Reaching
beyond our mistakes and
Entering
through a new door
Gives us
grace to let go of
Regretting
the past.
Entering
a new place
Through a
new resolve releases us.
The pain of regret is self flagellation where we do not
forgive ourselves, but continue in the punishment of
remembrance. Instead, we choose to change our regrets
into better choices for tomorrow. Regret or repent?
It is an easy choice when we understand the mercy of
God’s forgiveness.
John 3:17 NKJV
For God did not send His Son into the world to
condemn the world, but that the world through Him might
be saved. |
