RHEMA 4/04/07 OVERCOMING BATTLE WOUNDS OF ABUSE
HEARD: It was hard. A 3 way mirror. I am so
sorry, I didnt mean to hurt you. Abuse. Your upbringing.
Control. Socially and emotionally involved. Battle
wounds. And that bothers me.
How may I restore you? Counsel. Rebuild. After all you
have been through. Mine forever. Beloved kisses. No
shame. The answers will be quickened to you. Faith.
Strategy. Dont worry about it. Just rest. It’s nothing
that we cant fit. I will help you.
WORD TO PONDER: LEARNING TO MINISTER TO THE ABUSED
4/04/07
When you are ministering to someone who has suffered
abuse, listen and be sensitive to My Spirit’s lead in
discerning the wounded heart. When someone has been
abused or battered, they fight terrible guilt,
condemnation and shame that they are being punished for
wrongdoing. No matter how seriously needed for the
strategic healing of this person, do not correct a
person who is down and suffering with these wounds. It
is like kicking a wounded animal when he has fallen.
Any correction can be a terrible assault upon their
already wounded soul. In these last days there are many
wounded soldiers who lay on the battled fields of life,
or are walking wounded, having been abused and battered
in the storms of life. Many of these souls are walking
in numbness, having buried the pain of the past. When my
Spirit spotlights these places and draws the poison from
their souls, the pain too will come alive. Draw such a
one into My arms of love and let them see themselves for
who they really are: Overcoming Heroes with highest
honor. Lead them through forgiveness and extractions
only after they have received the salve of My warm oil
upon the pain of their soul.
1 Sam 1:9-18 NKJV
And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the
LORD and wept in anguish. Then she made a vow and said,
"O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the
affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not
forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant
a male child, then I will give him to the LORD all the
days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his
head." And it happened, as she continued praying before
the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke
in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not
heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said
to her, "How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away
from you!"
But Hannah answered and said, "No, my lord, I am a woman
of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor
intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before
the LORD. Do not consider your maidservant a wicked
woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and
grief I have spoken until now." Then Eli answered and
said,"Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your
petition which you have asked of Him." And she said,"Let
your maidservant find favor in your sight." So the woman
went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.
UPDATE 4/17/07 NOTES ON ABUSE FROM JOYCE MEYERS
She focused on these thoughts:
·
You are not alone.
·
It was not your fault.
·
Some people stuff their feelings and they
become hard hearted and numb.
·
Some have explosions of anger from
stuffing their feelings.
·
Some escape their feelings through
addictions.
·
The truth makes you free and confession is
good for the soul, so tell somebody that you trust.
·
Some become high achievers and performance
oriented to give them a sense of value because they have
no self worth.
·
Some of the emotional effects of child
abuse are:
·
Dont like yourself.
·
Depression which can turns into self
hatred and evolve into self destructive behavior.
·
Dont trust yourself. Dont trust others.
·
She said there are different kinds of
abuse: physical, emotional and sexual. But she said
the most devastating is withholding affection.
·
You can give children all of their needs,
but if they are never held, they will die. She said
that wrong affection is better than getting none at all.
POEM: TO BREAK THE CONSTRAINTS OF SILENCE 12/24/04
Deep within the recesses of every man’s soul
Is the yearning for acceptance, to be made whole.
Buried among the years of lingering echoes
Behind a wall of pain are stories no one knows.
Some are long forgotten, dead and quite buried.
Others are frozen in hearts numbed from caring.
Some press beneath the surface ready to explode
Others embed inside, journeying to implode.
I have cried over the hearts of My people
Limping through their lives of enshrined, secret lull.
Their hush over pain is crying for release
As bodies are decaying in secret disease.
Let Me wash the shrouded tombs of your souls
I long to touch You, to make you whole.
I long to hold you in My warm embrace
That you no longer suffer silent disgrace.
When I draw close and bring your pain to the surface
Know your Master Surgeon is there for a purpose.
Lean on Me in the pain that you feel
Trust Me in your stories that are so real.
Share them in the safety of a private place
Expecting My touch as you reveal your face.
Trust Me that betrayal will not touch you.
As you feel exposed and fragile too.
And when you are laid bare for another to see
What you have walked through in history,
I will wash your wounds that have traveled so far
With My salve of love and favor over old scars.
You will find that when your story is washed clean,
Freedom to share it for another’s self esteem
Will loose and set free, healing their own dignity,
From their silent stories entombed in self pity.
It is in the sharing that I bring healing
And you will know the layers are done peeling
When it no longer hurts to share the old places
For the sake of love to touch another’s disgraces.
For all you have walked through will be redeemed
With power, to bring others My favor esteemed.
Rejoice that I will give your story life to heal
As others sup at your table and taste your meal.
Matt 9:12-13 NLT
When he heard this, Jesus replied, "Healthy people
don't need a doctor — sick people do." Then he added,
"Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: 'I want
you to be merciful; I don't want your sacrifices.' For I
have come to call sinners, not those who think they are
already good enough."
3 John 2 NKJV
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things
and be in health, just as your soul prospers. |
