7/11/17  HOW TO OVERCOME THE CANKERED PAIN OF PROPHETIC DELAY

The nature of the prophetic is to see and then announce what is yet coming.  To a prophet, what they see is always in now time because His Word circles that person before, during and after the fact, bringing understanding and confirmation.  It is fun to live in that world of Words! 

However if a person gets stuck standing on a specific promise and doesn’t keep advancing for more of the Lord, it can cause a cankering of one’s heart and faith regarding the timing of when it is fulfilled.  

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

I have been living in the prophetic since 1984 and I have learned that Solomon knew what he was talking about when he said there is nothing new under the sun.  He is raising up a whole new generation of prophets still saying the same things, yet waiting for the same promises, basically reinventing the same wheel.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 The thing that has been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which it may be said, See, this is new? it has been already of old time, which was before us. 11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

He told me I am a prophetic intercessor standing for 3 generations to cross over into our promises at the same time.  So while I and others of my generation wait for others to catch up to inherit what He has promised, how do we continue to circle the same words and not lose our passion?

As I ponder this, I ask myself is it easier to know where God is going and understand what He is doing, or is it easier to be blind?  When I ask that, I know that the gift of understanding is a huge comfort and it is a whole lot better than feeling abandoned by blindness and not knowing.  So I cried out to the Lord how do I resolve this?

For 2 days I have put the pedal to the metal and been speaking in tongues most of my waking hours.  I needed a breakthrough really bad.  Yesterday I went to the grocery store and when I drove into the parking lot I prayed, “Lord thank You for giving me understanding.  Is there a way for me to overcome the pain of delay?” 

Immediately He downloaded into me that the way we overcome the pain of delay is to PARTNER with Him regarding what He is doing in the NOW, not in the future.  To me no matter how that is applied, it means intimacy and joy in Him, being yoked with Him in purpose for the NOW moment.  He has a purpose for each and every day.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Astounded at such a simple but profound resolution, I got out of the car and a fellow came towards me wearing a Tshirt that said, “Waiting for that perfect truth!”  I knew I had hit the perfect truth of overcoming the canker of delay. I KNEW that was a confirmation to partnering with Him in the NOW.  I was excited! 

I did my shopping and Wayne wanted cantaloupe but I didn’t like what I saw at Wallmart.  So I decided to stop at Albertsons on the way home.

PROPHETIC PUNS

Wallmart - Hitting a wall in the marketplace.

Cantaloupe – can’t elope, having to wait for the marriage.

Albertsons –son of Albert, name meaning noble and bright. 

I am still praising Him about the idea of partnering with Him in the moment – (ie – Lord what is Your understanding for this moment in time and how can I partner with You about it?) and my eye catches the headline of our local newspaper. 

The newspaper read:  NATURAL PARTNERS!!!

I am smiling about this with joy and walking out of Albertsons, less than a minute after seeing the headline, Natural partners…. I see a sign on their window. 

The sign read, WHY NOT NOW????

God is so amazing, I love it when He talks to me like this.  I have found a true key to help me get out of the prophetic pain of delay:  Seeking Him for understanding of what He is saying NOW, and then partnering with Him in prayer at that moment in time.  Thank You Lord for tongues and breakthrough of truth, wisdom and understanding!!!

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.

WORD TO PONDER:  OVERCOMING DEFERRED HOPE  7/11/17
Dear hearts, I am the God of NOW.  Even My name is I AM.  Yes I was, yes I will be, but I am always NOW, I am there for you NOW.  I have longed to give you understanding and wisdom to know Me and what I AM doing in the earth.  Every time I give you understanding, it draws you closer to Me and it comforts us both.

Always remember that in My Presence is the fullness of joy. It is My Presence in this moment, not a promise in the future where I want you to walk.  Continue to ask Me what I AM doing now in that moment, and seek to partner with Me regarding such.  That is the true joy of fellowship and intimacy. It is where you belong, not wishing for Me to come in the future, but enjoying Me in the NOW.  The more you spend time with Me in the now, the more you will find the true secret of a prosperous soul.

What is your desire dear one?  Am I not the desire of all nations?  Our deepest joy is in every now moment in which we commune.
