Overcoming
the Fog
PRE-SERVICE PRAYER MEETING: 12/09/06 OVERCOMING THE FOG
PIX: During prayer I saw a light in a lighthouse. Every
time it would circle around to the ocean, it would turn
on with a penetrating light ray, casting a straight line
out into the dark and foggy night.
INTERP: It was quickened to me that when we are
experiencing a foggy time of perceiving the Word of the
Lord, we wait upon Him as He circles around, bringing
confirmations and reminders of what He has said or is
saying. Each time He brings His Word as a reminder, it
is like a straight light ray - an arrow pointing the
clear way through the fog. “This is the way, walk in
it.”
CONFIRMATION: In quiet time after pre-prayer, pastor
shared that he heard the Lord say that He would be
blowing away the fog.
CONFIRMATION: Pastor later preached on keeping the
Lord's benefits in remembrance like memorials. I
realized that when the Lord circles around His Words,
bringing confirmations to us, that He is keeping them
into remembrance, and reminding us to do so too. When we
keep in remembrance the times He has ministered to us,
it IS like the light ray on a foggy night.
Ps 103:1-2 NKJV
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me,
bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And
forget not all His benefits.
QUICKENED MEMORY: Sometime this month I heard the line
of this song: Won't you guide my sleigh tonight! That
was the Christmas song where Rudolph was given a bright
shiny red nose and he was called to lead the team during
the foggy night.
WORD TO PONDER: POINTING THE WAY THROUGH THE FOG
12/09/06
When you are experiencing a foggy time of understanding
my Word and direction in your life, wait upon Me and I
will circle around and pick you up. I will bring you
confirmations and reminders of what I have said and
pierce your way with clarity. The light of revelation
shall come to the surface of your understanding like an
arrow pointing a clear way through the fog. Before you
know it, you shall have a straight line into your future
saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”
Isa 63:13 NKJV
Who led them through the deep, as a horse in the
wilderness, that they might not stumble?"
Deut 8:2-3 NKJV
And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you
all the way these forty years in the wilderness , to
humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart,
whether you would keep His commandments or not. So He
humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with
manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know,
that He might make you know that man shall not live by
bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds
from the mouth of the LORD.
Ps 77:11-12 NKJV
I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will
remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on
all Your work, and talk of Your deeds.
