RHEMA 6/08/11 PEER PRESSURE
HEARD: Health. I want you healthy.
HEARD: peer pressure
Mark 6:26-27
And the king was exceedingly sorry; yet, because of
the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he did
not want to refuse her.
WORD TO PONDER: PEER PRESSURE 6/08/11
I understand your desire to please Me and yet keep favor
with men. Overcoming man's disapproval is something I
want you to be completely free from. This includes
shrinking away from men's opinions, running away from
their coercion to conform to their image, and fear of
loss for choosing to follow Me and not their path. I
understand the trauma of your soul in overcoming man's
word curses and judgments. I understand that you are My
peacemaker and do not want to cause offense. What
matters most to Me is that you follow My will for your
life and that you do so without condemnation or shame.
Your choices are pleasing Me, but I want you healthy on
the inside as you walk My path.
John 12:42-43 NKJV
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in
Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess
Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43
for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of
God.
Prov 29:25
The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in
the Lord shall be safe.
1 Sam 15:24-25
Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned, for I have
transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words,
because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.
Matt 10:28
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to
destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matt 15:12-14
Then His disciples came and said to Him, "Do You know
that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this
saying?" 13 But He answered and said, "Every plant
which My heavenly Father has not planted will be
uprooted. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of
the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will
fall into a ditch."
John 9:20-23
His parents answered them and said, "We know that
this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21 but by
what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his
eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will
speak for himself." 22 His parents said these things
because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed
already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he
would be put out of the synagogue. 23 Therefore his
parents said, "He is of age; ask him."
2 Tim 4:16
At my first defense no one stood with me, but all
forsook me. May it not be charged against them.
