QUICKENED SCRIPTURE:  BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN SPIRIT  11/15/11

Matt 5:3 NKJV

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matt 5:6

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness shall be filled. And those who are poor in Spirit, theirs is the kingdom of God. I have been pondering what it means to be poor in spirit. The poor have 3 primary directives that shout at them every day, and nothing else matters unless they are filled.  They are focused on obtaining food, water and shelter.

Spiritually speaking:

Food = Jesus.

Water = the Holy Spirit

Shelter = The Father's tabernacle.

He draws us and makes us so hungry that nothing else matters except to have fellowship with Him.
