RHEMA 4/01/11 UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF OUR
POLITICAL VOTE
VISION: I saw the child game of rocks,
scissors and paper done over the American flag.
The Lord is looking for unified prayer, hearts and votes
in regards to America's future.

RHEMA 6/26/07 ROCK, SCISSORS, PAPER
PIX:
I saw the face of Pharaoh and a huge pyramid.
HEARD:
Let My people go.
VISION:
I saw kids hands playing the old
children’s 1-2-3 game. They pounded their fists in the
air 3 times and on the 3rd time, they showed
their fingers. The game had to do with coming into
agreement. As I was watching, I noticed that some
were hesitating slightly to hone in on what the other’s
would do with their hands. They had their focus in the
wrong place.
HEARD:
The one in the middle. Keep your eyes on
Him. Stronghold fallen. Learning how to lean on the
Lord. And be fruitful. Brick layer.
Rock,
Scissors, Paper game
Rock, Scissors, Paper is a game whose purpose is to make
a decision in between 2 or more people. It is like
drawing straws or tossing a coin.
The game appears to be a game of chance if played on the
computer, however people associate meaning to their
votes. So although people might cast their seemingly
random hand movements on the count of three, "chance"
takes a backseat to knowing one's opponent and
anticipating their movements at the last second. The
rock smashing the scissors is outwardly aggressive. The
scissors cutting paper is a tool channeling aggression
into something useful. The paper is the most subtle
tool, conquering masses through the printing press.
Although there are probably many applications to how the
game of Rock, Scissors, Paper relates to politics, at
first glance it appears the Lord is saying that we are
like children walking in wilderness circles, casting our
vote for leaders to represent us, by whatever whim of
the day or campaign. When we dont know how to vote, we
look at someone else's vote and that influences how we
cast our vote.
GOD WORKS WITHIN GOVERNMENTS AMONG THE NATIONS
As Christians, in
our separation from the world and what it has to offer,
we have lost our personal connection with the fact that
God uses government authority to protect, chastise and
even judge His people and the nations in the earth. If
God works within the governments and authorities within
the earth, how much more should we be involved?
The OT and NT clearly state that He sets up kings and
authority. Bible prophesy is jammed packed with the
removal of kings and governments, in constant flux and
transition for power, dominion and influence over the
earth. With every king that moves into power, there is
a changing of the guard in the heavenlies as related to
principalities and rulers. These spiritual powers have
direct influence over us, along with the physical
government's influence to create ungodly laws and use
their power for their own agendas and not for the sake
of the people.
Not only has He chosen to work within nation's
governments (instead of simply ignoring them and
creating some other alternative) He has told us through
scripture that we are to pray for the peace of the city
we live, submit to governing authorities, honor and pay
taxes, respect the officials He has appointed, intercede
for them so that we can live godly, peaceful and quiet
lives, and be obedient to the government. OUCH. That
cuts pretty deep when the government is not Godly and
spending our hard earned money to promote sin.
Jer 29:7-8 NKJV
And seek the peace of the city where I have caused
you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for
it; for in its peace you will have peace.
Rom 13:1-8 NKJV
Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For
all authority comes from God, and those in positions of
authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who
rebels against authority is rebelling against what God
has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the
authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing
right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like
to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is
right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are
God's servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing
wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the
power to punish you. They are God's servants, sent for
the very purpose of punishing those who do what is
wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid
punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
Pay your taxes, too, for these same reasons. For
government workers need to be paid. They are serving God
in what they do. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them:
Pay your taxes and government fees to those who collect
them, and give respect and honor to those who are in
authority. Owe nothing to anyone—except for your
obligation to love one another.
1 Peter 2:13-14 NLT
For the Lord's sake, respect all human
authority—whether the king as head of state, 14 or the
officials he has appointed. For the king has sent them
to punish those who do wrong and to honor those who do
right.
1 Tim 2:1-3 NKJV
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask
God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give
thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who
are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet
lives marked by godliness and dignity.
Matt 22:16-22 NLT
They sent some of their disciples, along with the
supporters of Herod, to meet with him. "Teacher," they
said, "we know how honest you are. You teach the way of
God truthfully. You are impartial and don't play
favorites. 17 Now tell us what you think about this: Is
it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"
But Jesus knew their evil motives. "You hypocrites!"
he said. "Why are you trying to trap me? 19 Here, show
me the coin used for the tax." When they handed him a
Roman coin, 20 he asked, "Whose picture and title are
stamped on it?" 21 "Caesar's," they replied. "Well,
then," he said, "give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar,
and give to God what belongs to God." 22 His reply
amazed them, and they went away.
Titus 3:1-2 NLT
Remind the believers to submit to the government and
its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to
do what is good.
Prov 21:1 NKJV
The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the
rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.
THE ENTIRE EARTH IS RUN ON OUR VOTES
The older I become, the more I see that the entire earth
is run on what we call OUR VOTE. The kingdom of heaven,
the kingdom of hell and the kingdoms on earth are all
wanting us to make a decision, to cast our votes in
agreement with whatever standard they are presenting.
Joel 3:14-15 NKJV
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For
the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will
diminish their brightness.
Every time we purchase something, it is tallied and
tells the marketplace to either make more or less of a
product. When we spend money to watch sexual movies,
read ungodly books, and be entertained by violence... we
are voting. We are saying YES, please make more ungodly
stuff, I love it.
In my parent's day the political process of voting was
mostly about how to run the economy and opinions about
war. At this time, the world is going bankrupt from
socialism and one world government agendas being set up
for the antichrist. So how we handle money definitely
puts us into captivity. However the value of the voting
process is so much deeper than money when it comes to
God's kingdom being planted in the earth in today's
culture.
When we vote someone in office that supports abortion,
we are saying, yes please kill babies, I want you to
spend my money to kill them. When we are voting for a
political platform that supports homosexual sin, we are
saying YES please teach my children in schools to accept
a sin that the Holy Bible calls an abomination. The
list continues way beyond that even into what preachers
can and can not address from their podiums.
As maturing adults in a Christian world, we must become
accountable with how we are voting with our money, our
lifestyles and who we are putting into office to be our
leaders. We earnestly, pleadingly need to understand
that the world wants our vote and we are accountable for
what we are voting for. We need to become educated on
who stands for what.
WE HAVE GIVEN AWAY OUR RIGHTS THROUGH SEPARATION OF
CHURCH AND STATE
I am 58 years old. As a kid I was raised in a culture
of honor where we said the pledge of allegiance to the
flag in school and we placed our hands upon our hearts
when the Star Spangled Banner was played at ball games.
Even though I knew the Lord years prior, later when I
became a "church" attending Christian, I was exposed to
the mindset that church and state are supposed to be
separated so therefore Christians dont get involved in
politics. I saw Christians shy away from speaking about
or even understanding politics and they simply refrained
from getting involved.
Today, all these years later when I look at people's
Facebook, so many Christians state their political view
as either Independent - or they say the kingdom of
heaven, something religious, or leave it blank. Voting
Independent for lack of a better choice only divides the
power of the conservatives (gone liberal) and causes
just as much harm as not voting at all. I understand
that most of these kind of declarations or lack of them
are saying they dont identify or agree with the party
platforms as they are now.
Although these are good reasons for not aligning with
politics as it is represented in today's world,
many
Christians do not understand that turning our backs on
the choices offered and not getting involved (through
prayer, fasting, voting, speaking up, teaching, sermons,
writing articles, books, research, recording history,
finding alternatives, running for office, polls,
attending meetings, campaigns, and etc) is causing
Christianity to lose its influence in our schools, our
morals, our laws, our legal system, our very basic
freedoms of speech and religion all the way down to the
USA Constitution. As a norm, many continue to keep the
Christian culture inside the church walls and separate
ourselves from the God given authority given through
government, and thus have not been His light on our
capital "hill".
Matt 5:14-16 NKJV
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set
on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp
and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it
gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your
light so shine before men, that they may see your good
works and glorify your Father in heaven.
PRAYER: Lord earnestly we ask that You will open
the eyes of Your people to see the truth of how our
votes and lives are being counted - not only in the
earth but also in heaven. Help us to see it is all
about who and what we are aligning with. Raise up an
army of intercessors who will pray for Godly and
righteous leaders to be in authority in all walks of
life. Grant courage for Godly people to step forward
into position and begin to take back our Christian
freedoms within a land gone astray and outside of
scriptural boundaries.
Forgive us Your people, Who have not been the salt of
our cities and schools and earth. Forgive us for hiding
our voices when given chances to speak the truth.
Forgive us for choosing the pleasures of sin over
righteousness. Forgive us for our wicked ways Lord, and
heal our land. We understand Lord that You called
Your people to turn from their wicked ways,
not the unbelievers. You placed this responsibility to
govern the earth into our hands. The power is within
Your people to turn and then You will forgive our sin
and heal our land. Lord we have not been accountable
and we have forsaken our places to be the salt and light
of the earth. Please open our eyes to see this in Jesus
Name.
2 Chron 7:13-14 NKJV
When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or
command the locusts to devour the land, or send
pestilence among My people, if My people who are called
by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My
face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear
from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their
land.
Ps 115:16 NKJV
The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's; But the
earth He has given to the children of men.
