5/12/15 RECEIVE MEANS TO CATCH OR GRAB AHOLD OF
Wayne and I have been praying
a lot that the Lord help us to receive all that He has for
us and not pass anything aside. Yesterday I was doing the
scrapbook magazine format to another lesson at the school
and it was the one on meditation. I asked the Lord if He
could give me a verse to meditate on, so this was also a
special answer to prayer.
I came to this scripture and I
looked up the word RECEIVE and catching a ball came to mind.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say
unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe
that you will receive
them, and you shall have them.

λαμβανω lambano lam-ban'-o
a prolonged form of a primary
verb, which is use only as an alternate in certain tenses;
to take (in very
many applications, literally and figuratively (properly
objective or active, to get
hold of; whereas 1209 is rather subjective or
passive, to have offered to one; while 138 is more violent,
to seize or remove)):—accept, + be amazed, assay, attain,
bring, X when I call, catch,
come on (X unto), + forget, have, hold, obtain, receive (X
after), take (away, up).
The Word of the Lord (or
promise) is the ball. He sends it to us and we receive it
and run with it and take it where it is supposed to go.

CONFIRMATION:
Oh my, I love how God speaks! I just sent a note with the
above bullets and then opened up my scrapbook program to
tackle the next page at the school. I needed brown paper
and green paper and instead of creating some new paper this
time, I thought I would click on the brown directory to see
what I had there. My eye immediately went to this one! (I
didn’t even know I had it.)
