RHEMA 2/6/95: CHOSEN
PARABLE:
I had been chosen as one of the candidates to design/
set a manual for highschool teachers that was offered
through a state grant. Today I received an answer to my
request. I had passed all the hurdles and was the one
chosen to do the project. But they never said a word to
me about my proposal or how I did. I had put many hours
into it and wanted more specific feed back so I asked
the Lord for them to give it to me. The way He answered
it is very funny.
I received a contract from the state that had to be
filled out in order for me to get paid, as the money was
coming from a grant. I found in it, an explanation from
the university as to how they decided to choose me. It
was packed with explanation and I was very pleased. I
also was laughing that the Lord answered exactly what
I'd asked. The document was logically detailed and
specific. Nothing gushy, or warm fuzzy like... but very
detailed as to their need and the whole process of my
culling. As I was still laughing about it when later I
heard: "Test results." (I guess I got an A!)
The project was a teaching manual for a pilot teaching
program that the university created to go out to a bunch
of highschools. After the first year if it proved
successful, it would become a textbook and a class for
all. This program helped the students identify who they
were and thus make better choices for their future as
adults. I felt this was a real parable to my calling in
equipping others to find their gifts and callings in the
Lord.
WORD TO PONDER 2/6/95: CHOSEN AND CONFIRMED
My scribe, you have worked hard to pass many tests. They
have qualified you to pilot a plan that will eventually
be used to help My children find their destinies in Me.
You have not openly been given endorsement via men, but
I will bring the confirmations you need for you to
understand you have not been rejected, but rather have
been chosen for My end time work.
“Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters
according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in
singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with
eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of
Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good
will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.”
(Eph 6:5-7 KJV)
