RESTING TO HEAR ME  11/14/08

I have had a very hard year of pain and am taking prednisone right now.  It only lasts 6 hours in my system and then I face a downhill slide of exhaustion and pain until the next pill, because prednisone suppresses the adrenal glands from working.  I tire very easily and have to pace myself.  This month starting the new school I have stretched past my limits and missed not hearing from Him very much.  I have been unhappy about that and today I turned with anointed hands to the following Word to Ponder.  It was a precious Word that exactly hit my need.

Come often into My Presence and be still before Me.  Rest, My love, rest and listen to Me.  The days are busy and distracting.  Spend them in communion with Me even when you are in activity. However do not work yourself to exhaustion, for in that place the craving of your body shouts louder than your desires to hear from Me.  Learn to lay the burdens down and meditate on Me upon your bed.

Ps 63:6-8 NKJV

When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.

UPDATE 1/17/10:  Today as I glanced at the above graphic I saw the word pun, FOR REST.  Sometimes the Lord puts us in wilderness places away from the crowds FOR REST.

Mark 6:45-47
Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. 46 And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.
