RETURN TO YOUR RESTING PLACE IN THE ARK 4/02/09
REVELATION: I was thinking about the rest of the
dove. How it searches for a place to rest, a roosting
place to rest. I had a flash impression of the ark
resting after the long flood. The ark is a symbol of us
as His temple of the Holy Spirit.
Gen 8:4-5
Then the ark rested in the seventh month, the
seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of
Ararat. 5 And the waters decreased continually until the
tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the
month, the tops of the mountains were seen.
As I read the following, the black raven was among the
abominations of unclean meat. The demonic are unable to
rest and pace back and forth. When the ark rested and
the raven left, he found no rest and kept going back and
forth.
But the dove, returned to rest in the ark until the
earth had a place for her. This brought into
remembrance how when the dove descended from heaven, she
found her resting place upon Jesus.
Gen 8:6-12
Then he sent out a raven, which kept going to and fro
until the waters had dried up from the earth.
Isa 57:20-21 NKJV
But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it
cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. "There
is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."
He also sent out from himself a dove , to see if the
waters had receded from the face of the ground. 9 But
the dove found no resting place for the sole of her
foot, and she returned into the ark to him, for the
waters were on the face of the whole earth. So he put
out his hand and took her, and drew her into the ark to
himself. 10 And he waited yet another seven days, and
again he sent the dove out from the ark. 11 Then the
dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly
plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that
the waters had receded from the earth. 12 So he waited
yet another seven days and sent out the dove , which did
not return again to him anymore.
John 1:32 AMP
John gave further evidence, saying, I have seen the
Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and it dwelt
on Him [never to depart].
UPDATE CONFIRMATION
I posted the above this morning and when I went to my
other email account I noticed someone had sent me the
following email about Noah, the homing pigeon. I sense
this is a parable where the Holy Spirit is resting upon
those ministries that are adopting orphaned children of
all ages. It is also a wonderful parable that as we
become little children and return to our Papa's lap, His
Spirit finds a resting place and warm canopy over us.
THE EMAIL
These little bunnies, about 6 days old, were attacked by
a dog and orphaned.
Two out of the litter of five did not survive, and these
three were not doing very well.
Noah is a non-releasable, one-legged homing pigeon that
we have here in rehab. Noah kept going over to the
bunny cage and looking in...even sleeping in front of
the door to the cage.
Then, 2 days ago, I only counted 2 bunnies in the cage,
so I hurriedly picked Noah up from the front of the cage
so I could look inside. And to my surprise...there was
the tiny bunny...under Noah's wing...sound asleep! The
bunny had crawled through the cage....preferring a
featherbed, no doubt.
Now, they are all together, and the bunnies are doing
GREAT. When the bunnies scoot underneath Noah's
feathers, he extends his wings out to surround them..
and they snuggle. When one of them moves and they start
sticking out here and there, he gently pushes them back
under him with his beak! This is amazing!
'He will cover you with His feathers, And under His
wings you will find refuge.'
