HOW TO OCCUPY - THE
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STRETCHING AND ENLARGING 10/13/06
I received the following
revelation during a prayer meeting where a group of
people were powerfully praying in tongues against the
demonic in our area, backing one who was taking
authority in English.
HEARD:
Jabez.
PIX:
I saw a
rubberband.
IMPRESSION:
I had the impression of a rubber band being stretched
out, then when let go, it bounces right back into place.
QUICKENED MEMORY: The Lord brought back the memory of the scripture:
Isa 54:2-3 NKJV
"Enlarge the place of
your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your
dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and
strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the
right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit
the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited.
I realized that
stretching has a tension and a pressure added, and it
can reach out, and then come back in. It is just like
the skirts of a tent. The tent has a certain boundary,
which has a limit to which it can stretch its skirts.
HEARD:
Maintain what you have obtained.
MEMORY:
When you go on a fast, you put all of your resources and
time towards that goal, but you can’t keep it up. Same
with stretching to go on a diet, if you return to your
old ways, it all bounces back. Same with striving for
straight A’s on a report card. If it is not a part of
your natural abilities, as soon as you let up a tad,
your grades fall back to your natural abilities.
It was quickened to me
to look up the Jabez scripture:
1 Chron 4:10 KJV
And Jabez called on
the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless
me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand
might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from
evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him
that which he requested.
1 Chron 4:10 AMP
Jabez cried to the
God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and
enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me,
and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me!
And God granted his request.

THE MOMENT OF
REVELATION:
When I read the words, “enlarge my coast” I suddenly
realized that the coast lines are pre-determined
boundaries and that when the boundaries are enlarged,
they actually move and change instead of just stretch.

When the Most High
assigned lands to the nations, when he divided up the
human race, he established the boundaries of the peoples
according to the number of **angelic beings.

EXPERIENCE;
As warriors we were all strongly praying in tongues and
also taking authority against specific demonic spirits
in our area. I felt a powerful sweeping motion against
these spirits as they left.
MEMORY:
Immediately I realized that just like driving demons out
of a person, you must fill the hole, otherwise 7 more
come back. I also had the impression that when we rise
up in such powerful tongues in unity against these
things, that it is also like stretching, that as soon as
we let up, it leaves room for a dark oppression to
return even worse than before. I suddenly understood
that we must “occupy and grow into” the territory and
maintain it, not just reach out and stretch into it.
[I remember Bob Jones
saying that he no longer prays for revival, because once
it dies out, the darkness that comes back to fill the
void is much worse than before. So he prays for
habitation instead.]
Matt 12:43-45 NLT
"When an evil spirit
leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest
but finding none. Then it says, 'I will return to the
person I came from.' So it returns and finds its former
home empty, swept, and clean. Then the spirit finds
seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all
enter the person and live there. And so that person is
worse off than before. That will be the experience of
this evil generation."
[Lord how do we occupy
this and how do we maintain this to keep this from
happening?]
QUICKENED PRAYER: The Lord reminded me that in order to occupy we are working in synergy
with the angels. So I prayed that the Lord would send
an angel to mark out a new boundary line to hold back
the demonic. This would keep them from sweeping back in
once we let the pressure off from our unified tongues
and warfare.
QUICKENED MEMORY:
FILL THE GAP WITH THE RIGHTEOUS COUNTERPART:
He then brought back the memory of what He told Rick
Joyner, that whenever we chop down a tree, we must plant
a righteous tree in its place, otherwise the old demonic
one will grow back even stronger, as though merely
pruned.
PRAY IN THE OPPOSITE
SPIRIT: As I
was asking the Lord how do we plant a righteous tree/
spirit to replace what we drive out of our area? And He
reminded me of the principal of praying in the opposite
spirit. If we are driving out unbelief, we loose faith
to replace it. If we are driving out agitation and
unrest, we pray for and loose peace to be planted in its
stead.
PIX:
I saw a stake in the ground, as though a claim for
territory.
I realized that having
an angel posted at the boundary and planting a tree of
the opposite of what we drove out, IS like claiming our
territory, putting that stake in the ground.
TAKE AUTHORITY THAT
THEY RETURN NO MORE:
Mark 9:25-26 NKJV
He rebuked the
unclean spirit, saying to it, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I
command you, come out of him and enter him no more !"
PRAYER:
[Lord how to we occupy and maintain this new place?]
He brought into memory the following scriptures.

Deut 11:24 NKJV
Every place on which
the sole of your foot treads shall be yours:
Josh 1:3-7 NKJV
Every place that the
sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I
said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as
far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the
land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the
going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man
shall be able to stand before you all the days of your
life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will
not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good
courage, for to this people you shall divide as an
inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to
give them.
Ex 23:29-33 NKJV
I will not drive them
out from before you in one year, lest the land become
desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous
for you. Little by little I will drive them out from
before you, until you have increased, and you inherit
the land. And I will set your bounds from the Red Sea to
the sea, Philistia, and from the desert to the River.
For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your
hand, and you shall drive them out before you. You shall
make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. They
shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin
against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely
be a snare to you."
Revelation:
I understood that the way we occupy this new territory
that is swept away from the demonic is literally to walk
into it. The authority to MAINTAIN what we have
OBTAINED by faith, is to walk in that authority. It is
very simple. If we do not walk in the opposite spirit
of what we loosed, then we can not keep that ground. To
the same level of integrity that we walk in our life, is
the same level of integrity we maintain.
John 5:14 NKJV
"See, you have been
made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon
you."
Lev 26:23-24 NKJV
'And if by these
things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to
Me, then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will
punish you yet seven times for your sins.
Matt 12:45 NKJV
Then he goes and
takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than
himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last
state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it
also be with this wicked generation."
CONFIRMATION:
One of our intercessors when praying over our local
university, called forth the seeds of the many prayer
walks given on the school grounds. This was a good
connection to the revelation of how to occupy.
SUMMARY:
We want to expand our borders, not just stretch them.
We do this by:
-
Warring and driving
the demonic out.
-
Posting angels to
keep the ground.
-
Praying in the
opposite spirit by loosing the righteous counterpart
to be planted in their stead.

Commanding the
demonic not return.
-
Walking in the
Spirit of what we have planted or loosed, fearing
God lest we lose ground by our sin or even by
allowing our walk to agree with what we drove out.
Lord thank You for this
revelation, please train us in this so we can cooperate
with You and Your heavenly hosts. in Jesus Name. |
