RHEMA 1/22/13 SAFELY TUCKED UNDER YOUR WING
HEARD: Where are the chicklets? Safely under
their mother’s wing.
1/14/13 A CUP OF COLD WATER IN JESUS NAME
HEARD:
Your babies sweetheart. They are growing
up under your wing. I need a glass of water.
IMPRESSION:
I had the impression of putting my grandbabies to bed
and they were asking for a glass of water just to
prolong the inevitable.
HEARD:
That’s what you are doing. Smiles.
Matt 10:41
And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup
of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I
say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."
REVELATION: I suddenly thought of this scripture
and how the Lord was actually talking about being
gathered under His wings in order to protect Jerusalem.
And because they rejected Him, He left and judgment came
in His place.
Matt 23:37
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the
prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often
I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen
gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not
willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39
for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say,
' Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! '"
[Many prayers for my loved ones and then one adopted
prodigal came to mind that I had extra concern over.]
HEARD: Yes he is tucked under there, right
under her heart.
PIX: I saw a little chick with many chicks
surrounding him. All were under the wings, and the one
little chick was directly under her heart.
QUICKENED REMEMBRANCE:
As I saw the little chick so close and directly under
the bird’s breast, the Lord brought back the following
story and what it truly means to be an intercessor,
paying a price for our children.
To Take The
Heat: 2/15/98
Hi Loved Ones,
For several seasons the Holy Spirit has been wooing the
hearts of His people and literally fulfilling the
following verse: "And he will turn the hearts of the
fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children
to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with
a curse." (Mal 4:6) When this massive move of the Holy
Spirit began to unfold, I witnessed this turning in many
ways (especially in the Promise Keepers movement) but I
never understood the curse part until recently.
Now everywhere we turn, we hear the prophets speak of
coming judgment. Many of us have felt so overwhelmed by
the stacked deck we do not realize that we still have a
vote in this matter. Scripture tells us that mercy
triumphs over judgment whether it is averted totally, or
reduced to a spanking. Simply put, judgment hangs in the
balance and our vote still counts. At this late hour and
with so much against us, how do we cast our vote and
stand in the gap for the sins of our nation, our world,
our children?
The gap is a breach in our hedge of protection, where
the enemy is allowed to start a fire then take advantage
of the course it takes. To stand against this, it
requires courageous fire fighters, willing to take the
heat and battle the flames. There are many ways to fight
a fire and it all depends upon the tools we are given.
The following story was forwarded to me this week. I
believe it portrays God’s answer to the greatest tool we
can use, and it also sheds light on the verse, "And he
will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and
the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come
and strike the earth with a curse." (Mal 4:6)
The author writes about reading an article in the
National Geographic several years ago: "After a forest
fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began
their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes,
perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a
tree.
Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over
the bird with a stick. When he struck it, three tiny
chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster,
had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and
had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing
that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to
safety but had refused to abandon her babies. When the
blaze had arrived and the heat had singed her small
body, the mother remained steadfast. Because she had
been willing to die, those under the cover of her wings
would live." [author unknown]
"This is My commandment, that you love one another as
I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this,
than to lay down one's life for his friends." (John 15:
12,13)

QUOTE: THE SPIRIT OF ADOPTION
JOHN PAUL JACKSON
1/23/13
“I don’t know how to convey what happens with the Spirit
of Adoption. Those of you who are foster parents or have
adopted children know exactly what I am talking about.
The Spirit of Adoption is real. It is not a
“make-believe” feeling. It is not something that says,
“Well, you start to feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and
that’s how you know.” No, it is a fierce attitude of
heart that declares, “I would give my life for this
child. I will do everything in my power to protect this
child.” It is so much more than a feeling. It is the
understanding that your life is not as important as the
life of your child…
…On a personal note, my younger son recently returned
home for a short visit. A soldier in the Army, he spent
the last year in Korea, and today he left for Fort
Bliss. My wife and I were given a son to raise, and the
Lord is taking him where He wants him to go. Though he
is now as strong as an ox and almost as big, I wept as I
hugged him and saw him off. I suppose the Spirit of
Adoption never leaves the heart of a father…
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to
fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption
as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
~ Romans 8:15 (NASB)
WORD TO PONDER: SAFELY TUCKED UNDER YOUR WING
1/22/13
Beloved parents, never ever, don’t ever give up on your
children. Even if they are on the other side of the
world and you haven’t heard from them in years, as long
as you keep them in your heart and pray for them, I tuck
them safely under your wings of faith. Many times your
prayers are the only covering between them and the
severity of their decisions and rejections of Me. Your
life matters, your prayers matter and your decisions to
stand in the gap for them matter. Please do not
despair, each prayer you pray is a cup of water,
sometimes in very dark and desert places.
Deut 32:10-12
He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as
the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest,
Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking
them up, carrying them on its wings, So the Lord alone
led him…
