RHEMA 9/23/07 SAGE GREEN IN 2008 AND JESSE’S ROD IS
GROWING UP
I LOVE how God talks! I have prayed for a couple months
about the color that the Lord wanted to emphasize for
the year 2008. After I sent out yesterday’s
Day of Atonement message about the year 2008, I
said, “Lord You never did give me a color for the year.”
Then this morning at church I received the most
hilarious Word, and only God can talk this way!
HEARD: Asparagus!
QUICKENED COLORS: Before I had time to roll my
eyes and wonder what on earth (or heaven) He was talking
about, a husband and wife team on our staff got up to do
the announcements. Immediately I noticed a divine sign:
They both were wearing baby blue and sage green. A
couple nights prior I had taken a photograph of my
husband and grandson, they were wearing identical
matching outfits: Sage green shirts and Blue pants. It
was so amazing to me that they matched so perfectly,
that I knew it was a divine sign.... And this took place
on Day of Atonement, and I had been praying for His
quickened color for a couple of months. So I had the
strong impression that the color for the year was Sage
green, and I said to myself.... (and God must have heard
me).... “I am not going to say Sage green is the color
of the year, that is a weird color and I have no idea
that it is prophetic what-so-ever!” (oh dear....)
So here I am in church and have heard “Asparagus!”
As I am gawking at this couple’s baby blue and sage
green outfits, and not listening to one word of their
announcements, I say, “Lord WHAT are You saying???? This
must be a divine setup!”
VISION: I see a picture of my Mom’s garden. She
has TONS of Asparagus that comes up every year in her
garden and she picks them when they are still young with
tender shoots. After they are grown to adult size, they
are tough and stringy and not near as good to eat. I saw
her garden with all these young sprouts and immediately
He planted the following scriptures in my heart:
QUICKENED SCRIPTURES:
Job 14:7-9 NKJV
"For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that
it will sprout again, and that its tender shoots will
not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth,
and its stump may die in the ground, yet at the scent of
water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.
Isa 11:1 NKJV
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and
a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
Isa 11:1-2
There shall come forth a Rod {2415} from the stem of
Jesse,
And a Branch {5342} shall grow out of his roots.
The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
OT:2415
OT:2415 choter (kho'-ter); from an unused root of
uncertain signification; a twig:
KJV - rod.
OT:5342
OT:5342 netser (nay'-tser); from OT:5341 in the sense of
greenness as a striking color; a shoot; figuratively, a
descendant:
KJV - branch.
INTERESTING CONFIRMATION: At the end of pastor’s
sermon he was speaking about the Word of Comfort is not
supposed to be snuggly, cuddly words to console in
agreement with misery. He said that the Holy Spirit is
the Comforter and the Comforter also plants RODS down
the backs of people’s souls, so they will align, be
strengthen and fortified with the Word of God, in order
to remedy the misery and take that soul out of the pit!!
=======
INTERPRETATION: The colors of Sage green and
Asparagus are in the same family of green nuance. So
when you see the vegetable Asparagus or when you see
Sage green and BABY blue this year, know that His eye is
upon the generation that is being birthed. These are the
tender, young sprouts that are coming forth from the
generations of righteous stumps who have waited upon God
to bud forth in His power. He is growing up a brand new
crop of children whom He Himself will raise by the
Comforter. They will learn how to rule and reign in the
maturity of Jesus Christ and they will be a sign and a
wonder. This year look for tiny small beginnings of
signs and wonders coming through these tender young
sprouts! His eye is divinely upon them! |
